I suspect installing the solid floor takes hours and however long it takes, it takes the same to remove it again afterwards, it's obviously not practical to take it in and out just for someone to use it for a few hours.

The squash courts installed for the Allam Open had their own floors, they didn't play on the temporary floor panels, which are okay to walk on and stick trampolines on, but no good for actually playing any sport on.

As you say a temporary floor is OK for a business exhibition but would have to be meticulously prepared for sport.

It would have to be safe (seamless joins), level and also any pitch markings would have to made for different events.

Maybe I'll try and make a booking and see what response I get. If the reply is 'yes' then it will be interesting to see how the cost has varied from earlier in the year,
if the reply is 'no' then it means the facility is then not available for hire to any citizen of Hull, as it excludes powered wheelchair users *

I don't think anyone was realistically suggesting relaying the full floor for netball or wheel chairs, as the issue of joints etc was mentioned earlier, but in my ignorance, I can't see it being the same issue to support a trampoline.

Would you ****. People are always retrospectively trying to justify Allam's crazy Ideas but no one ever said it'd be a good idea to take over a public facility by force and without paying for it. Just like no one ever said Hull City wasn't a good enough name until Allam came up with the idea of changing it. And no one said the ASI fund shouldn't be spent on fans, but obviously once Allam decides its not happening after lying about it for months his followers all pretend it's exactly what they wanted.

I said the club should make decent use out of it if they can.

They have and a well earned pat on the back. Even being used only three times to this date, it still serves a far better purpose than it did before.

I understand he had an offer to buy the club for over £60 million if it came with the freehold. Pays off the debt for £40 million and collects £20 million profit shortly afterwards. No wonder he was upset when the council said no to giving him the freehold for his sports village.
