In case anyone wants a reminder, this is taken from the Amber Nectar report on the last FWG meeting.

The club has invested heavily in youth facilities, and missed out on Category Two status only by 2%. To be re-audited this promptly is apparently quite uncommon. This re-audit will occur on April 23rd.

The Premier League apparently rejected City’s compromise suggestion of a promise to have indoor facilities in place by the summer, requiring instead for work to be underway in time for their audit. JM said the club had investigated other sites, including Bishop Burton, but concluded that the Airco Arena was the “only place”. He admitted the club has been “reactive, not proactive”.

In light of the Premier League statement yesterday there appears to be untruths going on.

I don't think I understand either therefore, to help me understand, could you clarify the following, please?

How can the Airco arena be kept as an "existing Academy" when it currently isn't an Academy?

Which Academy is " burgeoning" & in what way will it promote "local kids playing football" when it will be used for pre-selected players that are not necessarily local?

What does a "National Club like Hull City" mean?

How will local kids benefit by Hull City's Academy players being under the guidance of Hull City?

What do the SMC & the Allams own? Your post isn't clear but I understand it's referring to the Airco Arena. I thought it was owned by HCC & leased to the SMC. Which is it?

HCC already own "a community based sports/ recreation facility for the COMMUNITY GROUPS" in the vicinity of the KC. The Allams don't. Why would the council build another when it's the Allams who are without?

In referencing my post , of the 4 questions you asked , I need answer only 1 , and that I am off the mark about ownership of Airco , when I said It was owned by others , other than HCC. So a retraction I make.

Weird - I have been down the path countless times and can only remember the bridge near East stand being over a road. I know it is a totally pointless discussion anyway, but is there any specific reason why they couldn't they just walk over the bridge?

How are they supposed to build a bubble building with a 60x40 yard pitch, if the only access is a footbridge?

Even if they could, I don't think it would be practical for the players to have to run up a load of steps, cross a footbridge, then run down an embankment of the other side just to get there, particularly as it's mainly used when the weather is bad.

It's not that long ago there were houses on bits of that land. I think there was a crossing point somewhere near where the emergency helicopter lands now. I'm not sure if it was for vehicles though, but there must be some sort of access, or the demolition rubble would still be there. I also doubt it'd be DDA compliant.

There were some issues with that land a year or so back, and the SMC felt it fell under their responsibility.

It's academic though, we've got a community sports facility.
