Bad week, gout in left big toe joint last Saturday, fainted having , me tea on Monday, gout in right big toe joint this Friday. I am well ****ed up. As the pain eased a bit, I ventured into Southampton... did you know we have the biggest Sports Direct in the country. Anyhow we end up in CAU, which is my favourite steak house. 320gm Ribeye £23.00. Quite nice but looks lost on the plate. Just one imported argee lager and I am done. Both feet started up again, I end up walking back to the car rolling along like Popeye. Theres a moral to this story. Never buy from Sports Direct, the stuff is ****e.
You're so OCD it's unbelievable. I've not had a gout attack for over a year. Just been to pictures to see that war film & in the couple of hours we were there it's started to flair up. Got home & chucked an extra load of colchicine, allipurinol & neproxin down the trap. You have my sympathy. For those that don't suffer imagine the worst toothache ever x100, then you're in the same ball park pain wise.
Haha don't know how that got there, it was in a text I sent to my daughter this morning. OCD gout, it's got to be equal pain in both feet.
It's the crystallisation of Uric acid that collects & builds up in the joints. I think opinions are split over what causes it. Most say it's dietary but then those regularly disagree about which foods it is. I take furisemide daily which can increase the serum levels of uric acid, as well as increasing your chances of pissing your pants. That's why I get it.
I think you pulled me up recently so I will point out flair. Had a spell of your about 10 years ago so sympathise. Couldn't understand it as only had the occasional port at Christmas with my port. Then after a year or so it went and hasn't bothered me again.
Gout is a kind of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints. Uric acid is a breakdown product of purines that are part of many foods we eat. It is what my doctor once decribed as an exquisite pain. Very hot and very sensitive pain that
I had a bout of gout about two months ago. Hurt like ****. I wore flip flops to work it was that bad. I put it down to the real ale I was guzzling. My dr was his usual unhelpful self and gave me **** all and said just try a bit of ibuprofen if it gets too much. The **** him
Looking back it coincided with me starting on furesomide when I started with heart problems to get rid of excess fluid as my heart doesn't pump properly.. Have to take another diuretic in addition.. But they have an odd effect on me. Up and down to toilet if I drink coffee, which is of course a diuretic as well. But when I go for a pint I used to be trotting off to the toilet after every pint. Now I can have 7 or 8 and go home without going. Unfottunately by 2 or 3 in the morning it is up and down every hour. Swings and roundabouts. Take that many tablets I have to take 3 to counter the side effects of some of the others. The joys of getting old.
