They can't 'lose' their previous power as they still have access to the boards etc, so perhaps the extra mafia power is that they can't be recruited? Would make sense as the cartel do seem very powerful, and mafia only have 2 kills...

Otherwise I'm guessing the extra power could be a recruitment, but it's such a common mafia power in these games that I doubt that's the secret. I'm guessing the secret power is something to counteract the Cartel, perhaps they can investigate someone every night and see if they're cartel or not?

Well, in the last game a Mafia could be bitten by the vampire and he was then part of the vampire team. They would have still had access to both boards. I'd say that in this game, they are part of both teams so it's up to the individual where to place his alliance.

This could be the same for the Serial Killer too. The Cartel could recruit the SK, something I really wanted to happen when I was the SK a few games ago; destroy from within.

Afternoon all.
I'm guilty of everything.
Outside of the town in which I innocently reside as I'm a lowly townie that is. (again!).
I can't be arsed reading the last couple of pages as I only have 30 mins today so gonna make an early selection as I have a bitch of a drive later...
I'll start off with Mikey for no reason whatsoever.
It may change if I get on later so I'll try my best.

Quite a few newbies as well so makes it hard to judge based on previous games...

i guess we're sticking to similar ideas of 3/4 up for the coin toss?

havent seem to come up with a better idea yet
 
Just caught up on the pages abd nobody has indicated that they're mafia or serial killer yet so im surprised at the current votes.
I have no opinion as of yet therefore cannot vote.
 
First day it's a lottery, from what I've seen of previous games the odds seem to suggest that the ones hiding are more likely to be doing so for a reason, but there's no guarantee.
