Why? IMHO he's done miles better with these players than I ever expected. Good luck to him I say. He'll have one arm tied behind his back next season by the Allams but so would any poor **** daft enough to work for them.
Personal opinion. Looks like he's guided us to safety, but IMO more by luck than design. If HW hadn't arrived,. lets be honest here, we'd be F'd..... Teams around us all seemed to lose when we did and carry on losing when we won, his man management leaves A LOT to be desired, he tinkers more than Ranieri and still doesn't know his best team (play your best team FFS). And he comes out with such crap. But as I said... all personal opinion., (Actually, I'm doing Ranieri a disservice. He won The Premiership by not tinkering)
Plus next season unless there's some real investment (which most doubt) I don't expect us to be challenging at the top end. This season was a big gamble with Slutsky, with the hope that he could somehow work magic with an average side and get us to the playoffs. The result of that was that the team was fighting relegation. Until there's investment we need to keep the football tight so we don't flirt with danger again. And hopefully the Allams can bugger off soon.
I'm reading a book about Neolithic Britain. I wonder what it is that makes me a supreme intellectual? Genetics? Nutrition, perhaps?
You're standing on the shoulders of (intellectual) giants Eric.... PS is it a good book and if yes which?
Just a general overview, 'Home: A Time Traveller's Tales from Britain's Prehistory' by Time Team's resident bearded tit Francis Pryor It's not bad, though I didn't realise when I purchased it that it was partly an autobiographical retelling of Pryor's archaeological studies and career I don't dislike the man but I wanted a book on Britain's prehistory, not Francis Pryor (though I'd buy him a goblet of mead if I met him)
I tried, but the tattoo artist was hard of hearing and now I have a giant portrait of Tommy Robinson on my back
Wasn't an episode really was it. Mourinho on pogba. Pep on aguero. Etc etc. So apart from that you've got **** all. He's ultra positive in the press. So what. Done a good job here in difficult circumstances. Done a lot better than Coleman at Sunderland.
