You'd have him in your pub team - although he'd have to play in central midfield spraying passes around. You wouldn't want him having to run about.
Best news I've heard all year, not many bad eggs left, then maybe we can get back to being a football club rather than the freak show we've become.
Well it says a lot and Benefica know a bit more about football than a few infected QPR fans ... Who on the whole are very lost Good for him unproven at our club yet gets a 5 year deal He will light up European football and the sick won't be able to watch nevermind understand
We don't know the details of the deal. They got him free, might have stuffed his contract with a lot of clauses about fitness, availability to play, cancellation clauses. He will certainly be earning a lot less than he did with us (£65k a week after he was given new contract under Hughes, allegedly). And, if he delivers what we all know, even the haters, what he can deliver on anything like a consistent basis, especially in the CL, they can sell him for a fortune. Given his record it's obviously a risk, but it could be a very clever bit of business by Benfica and not too expensive if it doesn't work out.
They mustn't have been willing to pay owt Frome. Last year nobody would pay a couple of million & a year later having refused to play for his Club for most of a season nobody was going to pay diddly. Its irrelevant now whether he goes on to greatness or not. He wouldn't do it for us & that's all that matters.
Swords has it. He's worth the risk of a clause laden contract but not a capital investment. Don't forget Ninesy's overheard info from the team hotel at Leicester, Ramsey wanted him out full stop. We should have taken £1m for him from Milan when we had the chance, the failure to offload then obviously made his already weak bond with the club even more tenuous, leading to the farce of last season.
I think this could be a very good move for Adel. The Portuguese League is nowhere near the other major top European Leagues. Porto and Benfica are the Rangers and Celtic of that league, Sporting Lisbon, Braga and Boavista usually make up the Europa League challengers and the rest are very weak, probably not even Championship quality. If he's managed well he has the talent to really make a name for himself as he'll find the leisurely pace will suit his style and he'll be a big fish in a little pond again. Such a shame he couldn't be bothered for us but he has a chance that will certainly be his last at breaking into the big time...
Good news for QPR F.C. An undoubted talent but has behaived like a festering turd for way too long. Didn't give a damn about the club so good riddance. Let's just see how well he does at another 'big' club, he didn't impress me much when I saw him playing for Milan. Another infected player leaves us - wonderful.
I was a big fan of Adel, loved watching him play, but agree with most on here, thanks for the memories but you should have gone a couple of seasons ago given our management approach and your bad attitude.
