Doncaster swept Southend aside.
We could not beat them when they were down to 10 men for over an hour.

The gulf in quality is there for all to see.

I hate to let reality intrude on your narrative, but since Lee Bowyer became Charlton Manager he had not been given 1p to sign a player. Not a penny.
Powell, by his own admission, was given the £1,000,000 fee Arsenal paid for Carl Jenkinson to build a team.
That’s a colossal difference :emoticon-0148-yes:

I thought that was what I just said (in so many words);

Chris Powell did not have that prize cnut Duchatelet as his boss in 2011-12.
Slater and Jiminez might have been crooks with a secret plan to sell the Valley, but they didn't spend their time f**king up Powell's promotion campaign like RD is now doing with Bowyer.

Lee Bowyer is at a massive disadvantage. even if LB is a better manager than Powell he will never get a chance to show it while the Belgian skin-flint is sabotaging his squad.

I’d be very surprised if we didn’t get playoffs because of how sh!t this league is, what happens then is purely random

Doncaster are in great form now, and Blackpool got a good result at Sunderland. If you finish 7th in this league after 46 games you are cannon fodder in the Championship anyway. I fear for us in that league anyway with this w anker in control.

There wasn't very much random about the way Shrewsbury Town dumped us out of the play-off semi-finals last season.
Granted that was not Bowyer's team - he inherited it and did a great job just to reach the top 6.

But I can't see us doing any better this season after the weakening of the squad in January and now the erosion of dressing room spirit.
