Bowyer has a proper scout to work with, one who is a football man, not a computer geek. Hence he doesn't have an influx of network crap, with Roland interfering in his job. Neither does he have Ms Meire fanning the flames. Bowyer's only error in this respect has been to play Steer ahead of Phillips, which Lady Luck has rectified. Comparisons are unfair.
Bowyer is working for an owner who has cost cutting as his one and only priority.
He is being told to work with free transfers, kids and crocks.
I admire how well LB has done in the circumstances, but for me that is beside the point - particularly if there is nothing to show for it at the end of this season except the prospect of a 4th year in the 3rd division.
Imagine where we might be if Duchatelet had taken notice of how well Bowyer has done with a few pitiful scraps, and actually decided to back his manager properly in the January transfer window.
Roland is interfering with Lee Bowyer's Job, by making him work with pitifully scant resources.
And Bowyer is content to just suck it up.
I'm not buying this supposition that just because Meire and Driesen are not running the Club like a freak show anymore, sanity and good management at CAFC have been restored.
Duchatelet is taking the p*ss as brazenly as he ever was, but now with De Turck as his glove puppet and cost cutting as his weapon of choice.
