its amazing to think on away games charlton lot got me so pissed ie huddersfield ,southampton and birmingham its amazed me how i got in the ground couldnt even walk straight after about 5 or 6 pints back then-worse one when birmingham fans smashed the charlton fans coach windows i think was year we won 4-3
 
the worst game we won i rem trav was swindon few emailers said saw me that day,it pissed down from minute we all sat down f hate that ground no cover for away fans back then so pleased we won i was drenched
 
No need to apologise. It didn't happen or him with us and he has said as much. He was better than what we got out of him and I felt he could have done it for us if we set the side differently.
He was prolific or Watford as well. So he was better than that as well.

Why a bottle of Vodka? We and Bradley were better tan that surely.
 
i think my mates i sat with did it as a joke when wasnt looking swapped over vodka i rem sipping it with blackcurrent drink on coach around about birmingham service station i think they swapped it over i rem getting off coach legless and falling over had be helped in by 2 or 3 fans if i rem they where all pissing themselves with laughter on the coach,i think they where amazed that i managed to get in to the ground!i sort of sobered up around half time ish but had thumping headache second half if i recall whole bottle vodka didnt help!so as u can imagine at that game i wasnt in full control of myself so to speak!i was blurting out crap -weve all been their and done it!i just about rem sitting down and some bloke with a fog horn started to do bowing gestures and singing one johnny acworth!which was quite embarassing im pleased we won even though my least fav player at the time scored!i found that was always the case you slag off player playing ****e on the pitch and he scores a goal how many times did that happen to all of us !
 
Very often. I walked out of a game against Norwich in 86 minute as we were 2-4 down when we were wining 2-1 4 minuets before. . Pineapple scored as I was leaving Jason something on loan and so I went back and Leaburn scored. Pineapple annoyed me and I bollocked him. How can someone with the right build for a Centre Forward not be able to shoot or head a ball at the goal. At least leaburn had many other attribute, one being like Twizzle and seeming stretch out far to collect a ball and lay it off.

And pineapple was ex Charlton youth so why get him back.
 
jason lee infuriated me at the time so your not the only one others i remember antony barness -denis rommadahl-jj in his last season-svensson -jensen sometimes not up for it at home either our team back then had so much tallent,it was a little annoying some players didnt give it their best for the club,(jensen was outstanding in 2002 though )-------------------


by the way all good news tonight if the club ok to sell my book,should be in club shop by end of november i keep everyone informed
 
BDL ---do me a favour if you can can you pass on to charlton life members that my book should be on sell if the club agree this week or next after looking at it,to sell in the club shop hopefully by the end of november.Once the club sell the book in the shop i will send you all a copy on charlton live -and dont forget every copy the club sell for me i will donate £1 to cafc so im putting something back into the club come on you loyal addicks lets all buy this book and make the club a lot of cash its called the highs and lows of being a charlton fan

Tempting fate here - but JA hasnt posted for 2 days. Our posts average has plummeted.
Has he defected to the dark side - ie 'Wall? or has he had enough of the abuse he gets on 'ere.?

Dunno about you, but its quite refreshing. Almost back to the old times of reading posts that are CAFC related - not absolute twaddle.

This last couple of weeks without Ackworth ruining proper Charlton related conversations have been absolute bliss.

It has been a pleasure to once more immerse myself in this forum.

The one great shame for me is the fact that so many quality posters have jumped ship. All because they could no longer suffer the Ackworth circus.
 
im here under same name but added my middle name,had power cut for two days which was a pain in the ass!in that time ive created my own web page under j.acworth
 
ive designed a forum j.acworth where you can talk anything charlton or footy or news stories related,i didnt realise how easy was to create one so feel free to have a look and post stuff going create one where its like 606
