I think any notion of seriously wanting Acun out is ridiculously over the top.. ..However, I did say in the summer that I was concerned with a few elements in the way the club was being run, the commentary around his involvement with his previous club and wanting to be too hands on, etc. as well as the financial viability of his ambition and what position we'll be in if it doesn't work or goes bad quickly (since part of the model seems to rely on being able to sell on our young players). I mentioned previously that this season is approaching the point of 'write off' in terms of promotion and I don't think too much has happened to change that opinion, I think we need a lot of things to go right and change in January to have a serious chance of going up this season, so it would be better to get the building blocks in place this season. That means on and off the pitch. Get the right structure in place at the club so that whoever our manager is can bring in the right players that he wants to get us playing in the right way. The scatter gun approach we took to recruitment last summer was madness.
Wasn't Tetteh playing out of position because of the Sinik and then Ally injuries, and the intention was he would be coming off the bench to give Oscar a breather, rather than playing with him?
That's an airport for vacation spot, close to Fethiye. If it was Antalya Airport (a little bit east), I would say Yanal, his boat is anchored there, and if it was Milas-Bodrum airport (a little bit west), Terim is closest (though I believe Terim will never accept an offer from Acun unless Hull makes it to Premier League and he would probably ask key of the club, like managing all tasks related to football except finance, which I believe too contradictory with Acun's hands on appoach). On the other hand, Yalcin could be anywhere, it is hard to track him, since he is kind of womanizer but very unlikely to be at vacation spots at this time of year. More around Istanbul night clubs.
Tetteh's been played left forward. Or down the middle. Theres no reason to piss yourself over Tetteh being asked anything he hasn't done already.
As long as Acun learns from his mistakes, as he was bound to make some errors in judgement, then hopefully he will get it right. Off the field he is a breath of fresh air but needs to learn from his mistakes concerning the playing side. We have been very unlucky, particularly to Tetteh, who was starting to gel well with Oscar, and Allahyar, so when these are back and if he invests in a big dominant centre-back and defensive midfielder in January, then the balance will look a whole lot better.
A lot of the most successful clubs are able to heavily rotate their sides and have multiple players who know their role and can just come in and play that role in the system so that injuries are less disruptive. Think of a side like Brighton under Potter for example, where he could play someone like Trossard in a number of positions, and rotate his line up quite heavily without a huge variation in performance (aware they went on long winless runs but I'm more referring to style and performance). While that doesn't mean we should be able to replace Oscar with Smith and expect the same style, it does mean we should have recruited with a clear style/game plan in mind so that we did have options who were like-minded. Perhaps that was the intention (as I mentioned earlier) and Tetteh was meant to be interchangeable with Oscar in the system, but with him out we're out of options for strikers, but it does feel like the depth is very patchy.
I fkn hope this thread is a wind up ! He is a breath of fresh air, he hasn't got things right obvs, but he has done more good in the short time with regards trying to get the good feeling going around the place then Enob and Pappa 'die when they want' ever did. He is learning it isn't easy, and perhaps may learn to take a back seat when it comes to recruitment leaving that to the manager who will be building the team. I have full faith in the man to get it right.
With his by now legendary unwanted advances he should concentrate more on "Nocturnal PERMISSION '....just saying
I certainly wouldn't advocate his leaving, but by the same token he has a lot of learning to do and he's got a limited amount of time in which to do it? The feel good factor was relatively short lived, the crowds flocked back but are now retreating and we are now at a crucial point in the season. If he screws up the new coach appointment and he employs the wrong man who can't get a tune out some of these lazy twats,we could well be in for a long, nervy battle at the bottom end of the table. **** knows what the wage bill sits at but he's not getting value for his investments at present.Yesterday's effort was well below par after the midweek glimmer of hope and that needs to change NOW before we drop into the bottom 3.
I have a summer house next to Terim's mansion and parents are still living there until winter. Vacation spots are less populated during school season, so in these months. we know who lives in town, who doesn't easily. My father congratulated him for launch of his documentary couple of weeks ago at bakery. And for Yanal it is a common knowledge since he was fired from Fenerbahce after winning title, because he spent too much time on his yacht, he literally lives at his yacht. Funny enough he worked for Antalyaspor after Fenerbahce, where his yacht anchored.
