Not really sure what all the fuss is about. I don't agree with him on Emre/racism but apart from that, I don't think it was that bad.
Wanted Sellés to get top half minimum and even play-offs from December then whinges about Matazo and Barry getting injured. Just makes it up as he goes along. Unrealistic expectations, shoddy excuses and lack of accountability.
His excuse of injured players for his own performance and that of the brains team was great, but not extended to the coach.
Opinions are like like assholes Chelsea we all have one I'll be honest I'm sick of him after listening to that. However, we all need to come to our own conclusions. As he says football is grey areas. (Except he's always right )
I want a BJ every day…that’s my expectation…but it doesn’t happen….nothing to see here…you are over analysing…letting your personal opinion cloud the situation
Pretty much sums it up. There'll be vast differences in fans opinions of how it went and what they heard, but ultimately,he's staying and we/us/everyone has got 2 choices, like it or lump it...Totally down to the individual.
In terms of football decisions Hes bonkers But so is turkish football Fenerbache change managers every year almost And they wonder why theyve not won the league in so long? Theres no long term planning and acun is the same
He does need further education on the subject of racism in the UK, and typical excuses used by those involved.
Currently listening to the interview - it looks like Acun wants Omur back in the team for next year. Hopefully Omur does want to return back to us for next season.
Just into the first 18 minutes of this interview and my left eye has gone to sleep with my right one thinking of catching it up. Does it pick up a bit later or should I give it a miss? Your advice could save me 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Just finished listening to it, there is a lot to digest in there. Stick with it, it gives a good insight into the Turkish mentality around football. Acun comes across as being very passionate, but just too much of a football fan. He deffo doesn't like his manager not playing players he has signed or likes. In the last couple of minutes he talks about a manager not playing one of his signings for 15 games - he said he respected that, but you could tell he was pissed off about it.
And you’re a whiny **** who spits his dummy out like a child having a tantrum every 5 mins. God help the kids who have to listen to your drivel in a classroom.
Thing is I get that, Rosie brought Ohio and sharp in but then started games with no striker. Amrabat came him (Jan signings had Reuben’s blessing) then he didn’t play him. We strenghen in Jan to get us out of a mess or into the playoffs but then don’t use the players. It’s a waste of money
Not to mention hanging Joseph out to dry by playing him as a winger (which he clearly isn’t) whereby his only contribution can be to run around like a blue arse fly and then to be too knackered to get a decent shot away.
Dont waste your time. Interview could have lasted just 10 mins. Needs to answer questions in a more coherent and direct manner (but given English his not his first language he did a reasonable job). With regards Emre he wanted to dig a deeper and deeper hole for himself; should have got out of the hole earliler. With regards new manager he said we had 4 candidates he alluded to 2 having Championship experience and 2 without from Europe. He made the point that you dont need championship experience to do well and mentioned a few that have done well without it. He was cagey but promising about Zambrano and said the fans will be excited about some of the young players we are going after or words to that effect. He said he had 2 offers for the club and again essentially he wont sell unless the fans sour on him (which as we all know some have I am not one of them think he has a big heart and wants the club to do well of course and wants the luv of the fans). With regards to changing managers to much he said some clubs have been successful when doing that and used Forrest as an example. Said wants entertaining football but wants to win as well. Regarding Pedro I read that he still wants him here but if the player wants to leave he wont stand in the players way. Regarding transfers he said no news until we get a new manager in but they are spending a lot of time looking at targets I presume the we is Dublin Hodge etc He also reads the social media stuff and recognises the feelings of some of the fans (paraphrase of long responses to ?'s in that area)
He’s on dodgy ground with the racial thing and Emre. Although he said he wouldn’t appoint him based on the fans feelings. Other than that I thought he was ok, some of his decisions like sacking Reuben and expecting him to get top half are crackers but I do feel he has the clubs best interests at heart and wants us at or competing for the top table.
