I genuinely feel for him - i feel his heart is CAFC, but he obviously has a social problem, and maybe this forum allows him to express his views in the way that he wants to.
I sincerely hope he learns and comes back a more 'normal' poster - and not the incessant dross that he has bombarded us all with.
Somehow, sadly, i doubt it- but lets hope so, even if only for his sake.

well said

It worries me that in 2011 so many people can celebrate the removal of an individual's Freedom of Speech. It clearly says at the top of this page comment - debate - create... freely!!!

What a shambles.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of this, could we contact all those who have fled this board because of this issue and let them know that they might want to find their way back now?

It doesn't worry me in the slightest, with free speech comes responsibilities and the rules are for everyone. If I was to post irrelevant threads all over a board to annoy other posters then would expect to be removed - this was a clear abuse of free speech from a poster who even volunteered to post all his articles in one thread and then decided to go against this to antagonise others. Perhaps you didn't look at the detail, I agree the board was becoming shambolic with the clutter but good to see it back to itself again and I fully support the Moderators on this issue.

Charltonpat, I agree with every word of that.

Survival, as you're a relatively new poster, I can assure you that this board was absolutely vibrant, cooking, before Acworth arrived and it's now a shadow of its former self - hopefully it won't take too long to get back to a decent level of debate, especially if some (or all, hopefully) of the former posters return.

yeah i second that.

we shifted over en masse from 606 and it was all tickety boo, having shed some of the undesirables from the old site.

i personally dont care that much about JA`s posts (except when he exhibits some very outdated views which are extremely offensive) but others do and any good utilitarian will say the health of the group is paramount

Do me a favour... Freedom of speech does come with social responsibilities I agree. However, on the first page someone has said they think he must be clinically ******ed. Where was your condemnation of that? Pure hypocrisy if you ask me. Don't let your internet informed opinion of someone cloud your judgement.

No why should I. Why aren't you questionning the person concerned then, I didn't make this comment and don't believe in insulting posters on here.Objecting to someone's behaviour and actions, antagonising others by going against the rules which were agreed to as is the case in this instance is not the same as a personal insult and I have already said countless times on here, should you bother to re-read my posts, that personal insults against other posters, whoever the poster, are unacceptable.
