LFC Academy director McParland and technical director Borrell both sacked as per the Echo.

    Thoughts?

Real shame about Borrell - he has worked wonders with our academy.

    in short who knows?

If true (and if the echo published they must be very confident) it is a very odd move by the club. We have constant changing over the past 5 years in those roles so honestly i think we need a good hard look at ourselves if we are sacking those we put in.

who is deciding these things? there is no DoF who should be overseeing these roles so who is deciding their results are bad or whatever?

Who is being put in to replace them?

too many questions to be answered.

I think Rodolfo could go to Man City to work with their Sporting Director (Tixiki) ...

With 2 such figures being removed then something certainly has or has not happened. Rather than speculating upon the Machiavellian, it may be more fruitful to consider that less exotic reasons - such as the failure of the 2 to achieve agreed targets. If however there are other sinister reasons then at least the issues are being retained in-house.

At the end of the day this is a surprise but nothing more soon we will have new people in place. Hopefully they will continue the good work that Borrell and McParland have done.

This is a pretty bizarre development. Both have excellent track-records. It can't be not hitting targets. That wouldn't be a straight sacking offence. There has to be a very important reason behind this. No idea what <yikes>

One of the rumours is that Borrell and McParland were negotiating with MCFC whilst under contract - classed as gross misconduct.

It's obvious.. they both like to do a bit of Lion Hunting, Rodgers is a paid up member of Greenpeace/WWF and sacked them!

actually if you really look at things.

wisdom, suos, sterling, ibe... are all purchases, not home grown and sinclair is a purchase of sorts, tiexteria...

it will either be that negotiation with city thing OR a total lack of underage scousers coming through... how these two are judged on that criteria this soon is beyond me but there you have it.
