Saw something quite pertinent posted the other day on social media. It was a split screen of zouma with his cat and on the other side was a jockey with his whip hard at work on the horse. I shrivelled up inside when I saw it.

The whips are made of soft foam. They don't hurt the horse. The horse gets whipped just above its back legs where its cushioned.
