I would be willing to take a mature sheep dog into a field that’s never seen a sheep and let it off and it would set off and try to round up the sheep.
You can take a mature unbroken horse to a race track and you can let it off and see if it goes galloping round the track. That’s when you see the difference between training and breaking.
 
You said horses enjoy racing, how do you know that.The horses are trained to race, doesn't mean because they do they enjoy it. They realise if they don't race they get whipped
If a horse doesn't want to race, it doesn't.

It's not uncommon for a horse to refuse to race. So it doesn't.
 
I'm headed to the Egyptian embassy tomorrow to tell them to round up an army of slaves to build some more pyramids.

If they don't enjoy it, they won't do it. I'll tell them to just make sure they only whip the slaves 5 times before they get towards the pointy end, then they can crack away.
Make sure they're foam padded whips that don't hurt humans and you are good to go.
