Strangely, LS were not a band that I could get next to for some reason. Just personal taste and I fully understand the reason for their huge following. Having said that, it's difficult to say that I didn't like anything they did. There were a few that got through.I admit to coming late to music apreciation. Me too. A few times in fact notably at the Cardiff Top Rank Suite which they did annually for a while in the 70s. Made my jaw drop the first time as they were all only about 17 and played like time served rockers.Cheers Clingo. I was lucky enough to see Lizzy back in the day.
Saw them in the Capitol on a Sunday in early 76 if I recall right - the Jailbreak tour.Cheers Clingo. I was lucky enough to see Lizzy back in the day.

Irish, you are clearly a man of Taste (see what I did there?)I used to play on a band in Belfast and one of my mates from another group called Deep Joy is Gerry McAvoy who went on to play bass with Rory. He’s in this video.
Gerry still plays Rory’s music in a group called Band of Friends and I caught up with him a couple of times at the Earl Haig Club in Whitchurch. They are very good.
Which reminds me, Masky still owes me a pint next time I’m up the Haig.
