And one more for the dance floor……i fking luvs the sun me…….vitamin d levels are tip top and drying the clothes are free…..turn up the base clingo dude
Done some Neil Young tonight from ‘Like a Hurricane’ to ‘Damage the Needle has done’ to ‘From Hank to Hendrix’ and more……
always loved Neil young a massive fan of his but I’ve not listened to him since he went all Nazi during the Covid pandemic though……was a real shame that for me after him being a free living soul for all them years only to demand people are vaccinated or don’t come to his shows. ok adolf I thought go fk yourself one day I might place his vinyl on my turntable table again but that feeling is still raw so it’s not gonna be anytime soon
Just listen to the Zuma album and when Cortez the Killer comes on you’ll forget his opinions - same way I do when I listen to Roger Waters, just filter out his political statements and marvel at his material, both with the Floyd and then solo
im totally up for a political stand in music dude in fact I’d encourage it and agree with most of what roger waters ssys even during the pink Floyd era Neil crossed the line and became all Nazi on the likes of me……demanding we take a vaccine that hadn’t gone through gold safety standards or lose your rights……now the last time that was a thing the unclean where the Jews…..I’m sorry but I’m out …..another peace loving hippie that I formerly loved was Joni Mitchell who also became a little hitler…fking hypocrisy at its finest. like I say it’s sad for me because I trusted they were good people only for thy mask to slip
The problem with Waters was he initially was largely a team player but then turned the band into in effect a Roger Waters band plus 3 very gifted musicians as evidenced by the Animals, Wall and the Final Cut albums before the 3 others had had enough of his hubristic projects and parted ways, and produced some decent albums. The split worked for Waters as his first 3 solo efforts were works of genius. His last one though “Is this Life” was IMO Waters back to his egoistic ways.
Agree with what you say…..and I agree ego can sometimes cloud your judgement but I’ve always been good with rogers attitude even though it’s kept them from ever touring together again which saddens me……he’s taken stick in Germany for wearing an ss style jacket during the wall concert…..thick woke ****s should listen to what his message is rather than just trying to stop his artistic expression because of the jacket offended snowflakes This track is fking ridiculous good…..pp Arnold on vocals….at least she was in the original
That whole album is supreme as is The Pros & Cons….. Bet you enjoy the Welsh choir singing “The tide is turning” on Radio Kaos I saw the Kaos tour in Wembley Arena in 1987 - bus & ticket trip from Spillers Records - those were the days!
shed tears every time I hear it dude….. Agree with all you said……ps spillers best there was…..remember asking a goth behind counter for a album by Hank Williams about a funeral song without hesitation she went straight to rack and pulled out the very song on a compilation album I’d. ever heard of…impressed I certainly was
Sadly the tide isn’t turning we continue on the path to our own demise as we fall for the sideshow of divide and conquer……..I hear you roger your message is clear
Yep it’s not just Baker Street & Stuck in the Middle My track of the week is this little gem I found asking my google nest for some Arctic Monkeys
