Blimey, this was one hell of a way to bow out
Sadly, Gord Downie was diagnosed with terminal cancer beginning of 2016. He went to the Dr's after a seizure he attributed to fatigue and the flu.
To his credit, instead of sitting around waiting to die he and his band went on tour so he could say goodbye to his fans.
Incredibly, their final gig was aired live last August by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was shown on CBC Television, CBC Radio One, CBC Radio 2, CBC Music and YouTube. It was streamed live to countless venues and cities throughout the Canada. Also all live streams showed the 3 hour concert in its entirety and uninterrupted by any advertisements.
The tour was supposed to be a simply farewell and thank you to the fans but the final Gig turned into something extraordinary as 11.7 Million Canadians came to the party to say goodbye
This was his last song.

sad news for your man dude, I gotta say I didn't know him before you posted his stuff but I like it. i admire his energy for wanting 2 finish with a flourish and looking at the numbers that turned out he really did a good job in bringing people together.

talking about prikface, the problem with people like aussie jack is that they add fuel 2 the fire which shows how dull each extreme is on both sides......and tbh from where im sitting, its pretty clear 2see that in no way shape or form will the western worlds military have any influence in stopping radicalism only adding 2the fire. the end game in time will come for islam when its women eventually make the stand in numbers against the bigots who use religion 2control and oppress people`s freedom of the mind.........until then I wish people like aussie would shut his fking trap and observe before he shoots his fking stupid bollocks off again with propaganda and hatred.
