Thought I was going mad. I knew I was not the only person that thought Ramsey's form really dropped after Swansea.. Now, why is that?
You should thank the likes of me whose taxes pay for your schooling and the child benefit your mother gets for you every month
"You really think a player can adapt and play in a role that he has never played before in one game." good grief man , its football , not quantum physics. Hes been playing football since he was about 3 months old , are you really serious ? You talk as if he just dropped onto the planet and landed at the emirates in an Arsenal shirt .
The reason his pass completion rate is so great is fecking obvious if you watch the games he plays in . ALL he ever does is pass BACK to the player who just gave it to him . I know his confidence is gone but really , whats the point of being on the pitch if your not going to even TRY to create something.
Im sorry , i wont include any irony for you in future posts , its not really your strong point is it ?
If you watch him play regularly for Barca he is quite often playing wide (either side) and doing decently anywhere he's put at.
I would just put it down to fatigue. Long injury followed by a long season. It was going to take it's toll eventually. It worked well for us with Rosicky coming in. I still maintain that Ramsey shouldn't play any more games this season. Give him a holiday, then train him up to full fitness over the summer. Oxo is raring to go it seems, so he can come in when Rosicky is rested.
surely thats not possible . Playing well in a position thats not your normal one ? Outrageous . He must be some kind of wonder player .!!!
crumbs. what a stupid argument. no-one is saying Ramsey is a world-beater at present. everyone agrees he's not playing well at the moment, just some people are saying he will get better, and others are saying he's always going to be useless. i find it amazing that people can write off a player at 21 as being completely useless and someone that should be sold when they were built up and wanted by both Arsenal and Man Utd at 18. He is a good player, he is improving, he's lost his way a little this season, but he does have a future at the club, and could prove to be a big player for Arsenal in the future. He's nowhere near the finished article yet, and he won't be for a few years, but he's far, far, far away from a useless player who only passes back to the player who passed to him. Sometimes people on this forum, with all forms of opinion, are really frustrating as they push their opinion into a corner constantly.
A. Fabregas is a wonder player. He is one of the best in the world. Also Barca play a system that nobody else can. Cesc is never really on the wings. Their full backs push on and cover those role with either Sanchez,Tello,Perdo and Cuenca. What Fabregas does is, he plays as close to Messi as possible. He is never on the wings actually. He is always in the middle and even play as a false 9 at times. Ramsey is a 21 year old kid who is low on confidence at the moment. So playing in a role, which he has never played before, was not the smartest of moves by Wenger. If he wanted Ramsey in the team, than he should have play him in the middle. Ramsey did that role against Everton and Wolves, and he did not let anyone down.
Not true he played on the left against Villa as well (was **** there too despite our win). In fact I'm not sure he played in the middle against Everton... But that is all irrelevant, we have (when fit) 2 better options on the left (both of which can also play on the right), and the Song/Arteta/Rosicky trio are working great in the middle. Starting Ramsey doesn't make any sense at this point, with the form he's shown.
i'm aware hes played as striker and on the right though i haven't heard rave reviews of his perfomances on the left...may be wrong ofcourse.
Agree with pretty much all of that other than I think on last's nights performance, Ramsey still deserves a place in the first team.
Which Villa game? In the Cup game, he started from the middle. And away from home he was also in the middle. Against Everton he was in the middle with Rosicky on the left.
