Paolos response to my review;

QuaRestaurant, Manager at Qua Italian Restaurant, responded to this review, yesterday
After reading your latest "contribution" (8 in a week now from the same person using newly created accounts who seems to click his own reviews as being helpful) it is clear to me that you should seek professional help. Three groundless one-star “terrible” sham reviews by you have already been removed this week which share the same lamentable unamusing and bizarre features. Hopefully, more of your strange material shall be getting removed imminently. If this attempt at a smear campaign is supposed to be a “private joke” then unfortunately the humour has clearly been overlooked. None have come even close to making me laugh and anyone else I have drawn their attention to.
We, fortunately, have great reviews on this website and on others like it and this is testament to the warm, caring, committed, hardworking nature of our waiting team/family and the good, honest, generous food that our kitchen team prepare for our customers. If you feel the need to upload a series of sham negative reviews in the hope of damaging the reputation/livelihoods of our staff and family who rely upon the restaurant for an income then to my mind you have, yet again, only succeeded in demonstrating yourself to be a malicious ignorant debased oxygen-thief. Ridiculous reviews of this sort only serve to devalue this website and any reader of your now multiple fake “joke” reviews (I am in fact jealous of the people who have not read them) who could be persuaded by their ludicrous/shambolic terms not to visit our restaurant is clearly not worth us worrying about.

“80's Nostalgia”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

This so-called 4 star hotel may well have been such in the 1980's (When I suspect it was last painted)

I spent 3 nights here during which my key card failed every single day. A member of staff claimed this was due to where I had been working. When, in fact, it was in the car all day every day.

More than half the TV channels do not pick up a reception and those that do are sporadic at best.

Couple that with a smoking area filled with emaciated, hollow-eyed, sleeve-tattoo sporting fellow "guests" giving the evil eye to others like a McDonald's car park.

Next time I have the pleasure of visiting Norwich I will seek shelter with a local dominatrix as the discomfort will be markedly more cost effective
Stayed November 2014, travelled on business

I put another one in - said it was the best place i've ever been to but the manager's attitude in insulting and bullying people on line for minor criticisms and insulting their intelligence might be harming them. Could be interesting <whistle>

“Simply the best”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2014 NEW

I visited the restaurant last Sunday on the recommendation of a friend. Italian food is usually my favourite when i go out to eat so i was really looking forward to it - I was not dissapointed.

The starter, Gamberetti Piccanti was wonderful. The prawns were full of flavour and succulence and the garlic and chilli sauce was spicy without being overpowering. The main course Risotto alla pescatora was easily the best Risotto i have ever had. The tomato and garlic sauce complimented the marvellous array of seafood and the rice was cooked to perfection.

My partner's choices, pate and chicken in a venison and red wine sauce looked lovely and I'm assured they tasted great as well. We concluded with the Tiramissu which, not surprisingly, was beautiful.

Whilst the food constitued the best italian meal i have had it was almost surpassed by the staff. Our waitress was attentive, polite, witty and seemed to take a real pride in our njoyment of the food.

I was a bit surprised reading some of the reviews here - though the spoof ones mde me chuckle - and must say I'm horrified at the responses by Paolo. I think it's very poor form to abuse people for making what they consider to be perfectly valid criticism even if i don't agree with them. His confrontational and, quite honestly, insulting attitude on here may put people off visiting which would be a great shame. If you're the type of person who is put off by someone who coms across as a bullying, hectoring, pseudo intellectual ne'erdowell, please think again. I couldn't praise the place highly enough and can guarante you'll love it here.

If someone managed to work all this this in, or some of it I think he'd explode.

What'sa matta you, hey
Gotta no respect, whatta you think you do
Why you looka so sad?
It's-a not so bad, it's-a nice-a place
Ah, shaddap you face

Well played that man. I saw it before and only got as far as the bit about balaclavas which cracked me up immensely. Oh well we are on the same wavelength, I took considerably longer to tune in.
