On the Yorkshire racism bollox I had an email from someone inside the cricket club and heres a cut and paste bit from it:



Yes the Rafiq thing has been be an absolute farce. Yorkshire have handled it badly but no way have they been institutionally racist. From what I know he was a heavy drinker and a gambler who had absolutely no money when they didn't give him a new contract after what had been an extremely average season in 2018...and yes I saw him bowl...so he goes to see a lawyer...and next minute the race card has been played and a massive WITCH-HUNT is begun. The media never presented the other side of the story... Yorkshire coached him all the way through from Under 12s, recommended him for England where he became u19 captain, paid for a specialist spin bowling coach for a year when he lost his bowling, made him T20 captain when he came back to the cesspit of prejudice from Derbyshire. Institutional racism?!

Yorkshire made Sachin Tendulkar their first overseas player...Younis Khan, Richie Richardson and Keshuv Maharaj among many others followed. There were FOUR players of Asian background selected in one team ( the one Michael Vaughan is supposed to have made his comment about). The physio is Asian, the guy on the door is Rasta, the meeter and greeter is Asian...

...is that institutional racism?

The P word may well have been used in the dressing room and shouldn't have been but the CONTEXT is key. Ballance and Rafiq were best mates and best men at each other's weddings...it was banter between mates in a dressing room...no more.

Anyway, because the other side never came out and parliament treated him as a poor, innocent victim, he has all but wrecked the club. No tests, no internationals, no sponsors...NO MONEY.

Anyway, the only thing they can do is clear out the old guard ( 16 people lost their jobs so far, virtually all of them totally innocent) and appear to be starting from a clean slate in the hope of convincing people they have changed

As I said, mate, A COMPLETE FARCE!

Anyway, enough of cricket. It depresses me!!!

It's very difficult to assess what will happen because of the mess we are in via injuries. now with covid raising it's ugly head again we could have more out.
End of the day we need extra bodies because of the current climate Bielsa has to bite his lip and give in this season just because of the circumstances its not a normal season. Ok we hearing we have to sell to bring new faces in. but we also have the option of 2 loans the only thing with that is who wants to loan good players. only possible option is loan to buy deals.
People to go out Rodrigo has to be one because he's just not doing it here is it the system? Possibly. We really can't afford to lose Raph or Phillips right now hopefully we can hold on to them till the summer. they say key players isn't everyone a key player in our set up?
hopefully we can get Leif Davis back for some cover.
but we can't just get rid of numbers as we will be in the same situation so it looks like it may have to be someone big. Raph and Phillips are our key assets Rodrigo is a big money signing but how much do we get back?
Personally if we got to let someone go it has to be Rodrigo and try and claim as much over 20m as we can.
I have my own personal list. Rodrigo,Firpo,Klich,Roberts need to be moved on by the summer Also Koch needs now to show us what he has as he's no good to us always injured. but like I said we need bodies right now and letting anyone go will hurt us until we see some light with injuries.

Best of health to the lads/Lasses who aren't having the best of times at this moment in time I hope all get positive news in the near future

Hope things go okay for your daughter but worry times. We are waiting to find out if my mum has cancer on top of my husband's cancer returning so it's been stressful as of late so totally understand. Coming on here to talk will help you deal with things. For me the important thing was having our family Christmas and getting them both there so feel that I can deal with things better now.

Good luck to Doc too and thinking of you.
