As I will be going in hospital within days I will leave you with a thought. You may have your own ideas of how things work out, so good luck.

January window has closed as we got the target we were after and by Easter we already know that Bielsa has saved the season and we will be still in next seasons Premier League. We also know that Bielsa is going to have a 5th season with us. We do however now have a dilemma because Bielsa will only work with a small squad, and he has now agreed to 20 ayers in his first team squad. Radz has told us we will be going into the transfer market to improve the squad and move us further along on our 5 year project.

Because of the 20 player squad we will have to sell or move some players out. We already brought in the January target so only 19 places remain

My head can't handle all that at the moment. Guess what I'm saying is, when we know where we are regarding new January signings and our league position things might look a bit clearer. One thing I would say though is we've clearly missed and underestimated Cooper's contribution to the side.

In that case he will end up with 24 players in his first team squad, so he will deffo off a few

Think a few on here need to keep the faith. In 2013/14 Athletico Madrid were going nowhere and gambled on an Argentinian called Diego Simone who studied under Bielsa. He opted to play Bielsaball from a sold base so did it his own way. He actually won the league that season against the Galactico superstars of Real Madrid and Barcelona. He has never finished outside the top 3 in La Liga and actually won the lot last season. However this season he is struggling just like Bielsa. Simeone is trying to fit in a superstar front 5 which includes Suarez who has been top scorer in La Liga but not scored for 8 weeks. Wonder if Merson and some other gobshytes are saying its down to burnout ffs or super dogger himself who thinks we should play hoofball.

Lets just hope Bielsa gets his band back together and sorts this shyt out

Think we only have 3 league games scheduled for January.
Burnley
West Ham
Newcastle
So if Villa does get called off as well there’ll be plenty of games left from February onwards. We should have players back and hopefully a signing or two by then so absolutely no need to panic.

Nicked this from Ristac who posted it on the Thursday Breakfast Thread, but to do what Radz suggests you go one of two ways.
  • Sell a couple of your best like Phillips and Raphinha for £150m and buy 5 new Raphinhas.
  • Sell Roberts, Dallas Klich and Cooper for example and buy one £20m player and then invest another £50m from the club/49ers

I would have Klaesson in your list and therefore make the problem worse but...Joffy, Bate and Cresswell aren't really in the first team set up, although I think they should be, I'm just not sure if they are? Getting 4 recruits in January I don't think will happen, perhaps 2 max. Therefore if my maths is correct we would end up with 20 players and Cooper, Dallas, Klich and Roberts would all stay. (20+1-3-4+2=16) But that leaves Shackleton in the cold he isn't on your list but is listed as 1st team. Maybe if we get the right 2 recruits in Jan it would be good for his career to get some 1st team championship experience.
