Staines of course
regarding Remy..

Now it seems pretty obvious to all and sundry that relegated or not Remy will be off to better things next season. So I presume we will be paying wages to him in the close season, knowing for a (almost) fact that he won't be playing for us next season ?

Does that seem right ?? I know it's his contract but would that be taken into any consideration when he is sold ??

I did say it was a stupid question but it just seems strange business.

Certain ITK's on onaother board have said we are gonna loan him out for a season.

Personally dont believe it but this guy is very good at inside info....("the plane boss the plane?)

Bizarre if true. Redknapp has said he can't guarantee us bouncing back next season, yet would happily loan Remy out for a season. I'd imagine that can only be on the premise that we return at the first attempt.

Why is the idea of a loan so crazy? He gets to play PL footie, the host club pay him as they would have done if they bought him, no transfer fee and a mutually agreed clause to state can go if we fail to secure promotion at first attempt.

Sounds like win, win to me. Am I wrong?

Sounds extremely sensible so probably won't happen!

Bringing Remy in was a coup. Keeping him would be in incredible display of intent and perhaps just what is required. The former happened, why not the latter?

Having said all of that, if Arsenal trigger the release clause why would the lad not go?

i Thought he signed a 2 year contract, if we loan him out for a season he will have 6 months left and can Negotiate with who he likes in that January window, or am i wrong again <doh>

Clutching at straws lads, Remy will be gone for £8m. Loaning him out benefits nobody when he only has 1.5yr left on his contract.

The loan idea sounds amazing, but can't see it happening really. A move to Arsenal sounds plausible. All pretty bleak really. Mediocre strikers again next year :(

Maybe wrong but my understanding is that players don't get paid in the close season - only the footballing months.

Betty and No Pulse will tear up the Championship next season!...<laugh>

Pretty sure No Pulse will be out of contract so we have to say goodbye soon:-)

With Remy almost certainly going, assume Cisse won't come back & with Zamora out after being under the op or offloaded then we're currently looking at a choice of:

Mackie
Betty
AJ

With AJ likely to be out injured for a large spell that leaves us in need of definite reinforcement.
