SO a resolution to the Big_CHris/Topboy problem ruining many people's experience of this site...

I for one can tolerate the lad and enjoy a bit of banter with him...but realise that makes it worse for others aswell..and now it has gotton to the point where people are avoiding coming here because of him...

sooo....

can i just go on record and say that i am happy to sacrafice my daytime posts and just go on this on an evening at home...i can't speak for the others who work for this company..here and in peterlee...but the only way you can get rid of this lad for good is to ban this IP address completely, otherwise he will just rejoin all the time...........

it will be inevitable soon that, with the popularity of this site growing every day, that our higher IT powers will cotton on and ban use of this site anyway here....so you might aswell do it now

I will miss the forum during the day, but will make up for it on a night......

I will sacrafice myself for his sins haha!!!
 
Taking one for the team Dazzla....you are a diamond...reminds me of when my ol' Grandaddy threw himself on a grenade in 'Nam....was a particularly nasty away match and I've never liked the Spuds since.

Top Boy/Big Chris is a tool and a half but banning the IP address will just make him use his make-believe Iphone!

I don't think there's any need for that mate.

If he pops up, and causes friction, it'll not take long, was 15mins top today before he was 'outed'.

I'd prefer it if the lad joined, and posted without being a helmet.
 
I think its the wrong answer, it lets him win. He is again banned and its not what I want to do, I want him to come on and be sensible. That said if he keeps doing what he did today he will be banned. Come on and not set himself up and he will be fine
 
shame about that mate because with the time difference i only get to talk to day time posters really, all the rest is catch up, but if you ever find out who is is please feel free to use un restrained violence (i mean strong words) (i dont condone this action mods honestly) on behalf of all the not 606 users,

We all work for the same company....broken up over different sites....but as it is a very large company the IP address is the same, as it is from a server...easier to manage and keep secure.......

from what i understand, he does not work at my site...which in a way is a relief!
 
Great idea Dazzla but any half decent phone can allow you to browse and post quite readily (I can anyway) so unless he was wi-fi ip banning not really the issue. Unless of course you know that work is his only avenue onto the web. Still very magnanimous mate <applause>
 
Nice gesture Dazzla but really no need, as BB said, he's easy to spot and the mods have been very quick to respond to him.

He can change his user name a million times but he can never change his style of writing.

Above and BEYOND mate. No need for this, otherwise it wins, and I'm not prepared to have that. If the idiot comes back we'll suss him quick - other irons in the fire - so we can sure say hello to him in the not too distant future. KTF
 
the fact that we keep talking about him means he's winning.
I think its time we moved on, I'm sure the mods can and will do their job and stop any of his childish attempts to rejoin under a new name.
Uless he changes his ways which I doubt.
