Seriously though, capacity is 27,033, not 26,034, hence the true figure is about 97%. Still excellent, and only this because the away section doesn't always sell out. If you don't believe that, try getting a ticket!
In these days that might sound crazy but I recall going to the big QPR game in the 70's. If QPR won they would win the league. There were over 32,000 in the ground that day and people were everywhere. Sitting on top of the hoardings at the back of the River End - even half way up the floodlight pylons! Just couldn't imagine it happening anymore.
Tis ok SN, I was not suggesting you made an error, but clearly the stated capacity is incorrect to have anything over 100%
How many are QPR likely to bring ? You have the lowest gates in the league so if you can`t be arsed to go to home games, your away stats must be pretty low also? YES
tried to get through to the ticket office for the newcastle game six times, no joy! Online in the end it's not easy to get through on the phone
tut tut tut. Although we may not be the best supported team at home due to ground and other things we do have a very good away support. If you were to compare our away support v home gates capita, i reckon QPR will be up there. As for the Norwich game? we will sell our allocation. Finally before you continue to try and be 'billy big club' i would ask where all your fans were 1996-2001 when you averaged between 14-16K. I also remember games at QPR when you only just managed to fill a small section of the away end. Not knocking your club as i think you have done really well but your not a Man u so don't act like it.
I have been to Loftus rd plenty of times over the years ,good bunch and never any trouble... I am ignorant of QPR`s away attendances.. In reference to the late 90s, our club was badly run and i was fed up with the direction we were headed and the board... Since Delia came in we have shown our support with our arses on seats and sold out even in Lg1, so it`s not as if we only turn up because we are in the prem...
In reference to the late 90s, our club was badly run and i was fed up with the direction we were headed and the board... Exactly what has happened to us in previous years, Mismanaged for many years and high prices with low product. As i said, neither of our clubs are a Manu and will get ups and downs in gates and history. Norwich seems to have a good regular following and I guess it’s something that we at QPR need to strive to. Our gates are getting better but we really do need a new stadium to improve or face being left behind. Anyway good luck with the season and hopefully all 3 newly promoted clubs will stay up.
I hope we all stay up too Ellers, it`s nice to be away from the toilet end of the league now for us, but i`m not naive enough to think Norwich will stay up easily...QPR have a nice war chest in January and will probably invest your way to safety... Us and Swans do not have this luxury so will need to be lucky with injuries and a few bargain signings....... Solidarity my West London brethren
We have the lowest gates cause we have the smallest ground..........you still jealous we won the championship so easily?
SB10, Nothing to do with you romping away with the championship. the three guarantees in life... death , taxes & Norwich fans on these forums banging on about attendances
