Hi one and all, I would like a word with all of you concerning Andrewqpr. I know he irritated a lot of City posters on the old 606, but since I pointed out my concerns to him on this site, he has behaved himself pretty well! I think one or two of you are reacting to his reputation from before, and not from how he has become! I would like us all to be grown up enough and draw a line under all that has gone before, I'm aiming this at everyone, but in particular,ncgandy, Thaicanary and SuperNorwich23. I, along with many others, got pissed off at 606 heavy-handed moderation, and I have no wish to go down that road myself. We cannot have banter without letting other teams fans the right to comment on our forum! Can I just ask all of you, if somebody submits a post that you do not like, respond to them politely with your reason for not liking the post. So in conclusion, please, please, let's not be children, make my life easier by moderating our own comments, let's not say anything to others that we wouldn't like them to say to us. Finally, let me apologise for the format of this post! I have keyboard issues, and cannot form paragraphs. Thank you in advance for your help and understanding. canary-dave
 
I will simply ignore him Dave but I disagree with your comments about behaving in a better fashion. He is only towing the line because to be banned from the board would dent his ego. As far as I can make out he only posts (mainly single lined comments/links etc) to gain points, ergo on an ego trip.
Even brags about how a blog earns more points than creating a post - go figure.

Given the chance he will continue to simply add links to pathetic pictures, songs etc
 
Hi Canary fans, apologies for jumping onto your board. I do feel I'm entitled though, living in North Norfolk as I do! :wink:

I'd just like to say that I'm sure there is no animosity intended. We're all a little edgy at present for obvious reasons!

Anyway, main reason for my post is to wish you good luck today at Pompey. It would be good to Norwich promoted along with ourselves (hopefully) At least I'd only have to travel 25 miles to watch the match!

Paul Lambert has done a fantastic job for you, seriously impressed, some appointment that was!
 
I understand Dave, but if i click on a thread and andy has taken a big dump on it i tend to just not bother submitting a response, i m all for 2nd chances and if andy engages in sensible banter i see no problem....A great example of this is columike, his pantomime villain posts are funny and in fact are welcome in my eyes..... The huge carrot andy posted on my backdrop article amused me, but a majority of his posts are just aimed at sabotaging the thread. WLH i actually like but as gandy raised, getting banned from the chat bar thing is not easy but he managed it and randomly insulting other clubs has brought angry fans here on many occasions......... We can all take a joke and banter is great but if 100% of your input is aimed at annoyance, you have to take a good look at yourself.......

:wink:At least you put time and effort into that Andy, I especially like the Bill O Reilly one....... It also looks like the humongous carrot is a front runner for our background, you will need to make it 16000 pixels wide.........Not entirely sure what that means...

Hi gandy - I know what it's like, believe me, but over this side, he's normally sensible or even genuinely funny. I don't want to lose good posters like yourself, but I don't want to turn into a BBC moderator either. If he oversteps the mark I have the perfect weapon in my arsenal. Did you not find Mikey irritating initially? I know I did, but in time I got to look forward to all his predictions being reversed :)

It was a valid post and received several valid replies, if you wish to propose sensibiltiy and consistency accross this board then apply it to all.

I can only assume that SuperNorwich is not that intelligent or highly cynical, either way there is little need for his reply. I can only assume he is a mate of yours as his comments are out of order and totally unfounded.

Hi Beeston and welcome to the board, I missed the thread you are referring to, I can only assume that Super23 was having an off-day, although tbf there have been a lot of wums opening new accounts on the old 606 with Norwich sounding user-names but very strange ideas! I'm sure, given the chance, he will apologise for his error <ok>
 
Cheers Dave - I'm too old to mess about with "muppetry" and people saying "my dad is bigger than yours" although I must admit to a strange kind of affection towards the Count in the muppet show.

Anyway let's just be happy with the current position of our beloved club.

I have been very impressed with the way this league has panned out this season - football wise. (I've been a reader more than a writer) generally because, unfortunately, there are too many muppets on forums like these. I have been a Norwich fan for far too many years than I wish to remember but I've loved the past two seasons.

Now for the confrontational bit -

This season -
QPR have been the best team and deserve to get promoted.
QPR deserve a points deduction because they have broken the rules
Norwich & Cardiff deserve to be where they are
Neither will win the playoffs
Swansea are the best footballing side in the playoff positions
I dislike Shane Long ( no idea why I just do...) but not Reading
Forest are in the playoffs because other sides messed up (especially Leeds)

No point to this, purely my observation.

Thought I'd post this here, because the thread was originally about andy b from 606, twat that he is.

I know he's banned from here, but he's still on 606, and will presumably be on others that people may migrate to.

As we all know, he likes to post links to stupid images or youtube clips. The reason I write this is because one such link contained a virus. I was stupid enough to click on it whilst on my wife's laptop, and have spent hours trying to get rid of it. It was on the Cardiff 606 forum where he was laying in to them as he does us.

The virus was 'xp anti-spyware' a rogue program which vigorously attacks your registry, and shuts down other, genuine spyware detectors. Google it if you need more info.

Notwithstanding the fact that he's a complete moron, I (gullible fool that I am) don't believe he did this maliciously, but rather, unknowingly, as can happen when you're linking to sites you know nothing about.

I did email 606 to explain, and they shut that particular thread down, but frankly it could happen on any of these links. Anyway, the moral is - don't click on them.

No, I don't like him one little bit, but this is not about that, it's trying to avoid this happening to others.
