Clutching at straws Does anyone know if the FA are 'involved'. Have the FA made any comment ? Has the case been referred to them ? ( yet/ timescale for them to act ) gfe - I am probably as pessimistic as yourself - but I do understand what throwoff is hoping for. I believe that any racial element in the 'case' will have the FA throw the book at us - that is why Scally needs to persue any appeal to remove 'guilt' in that area - then we can show that ( as throwoff said ) - it was only a HR cock up. ps - to repeat what I said in another thread - Scally needs to take legal action against the newspapers who print claims, against the club, that cannot be substantiated - or statements that are designed to mislead the reader into thinking 'all sorts' about GFC.
He should sue Kent Online too! The first part of their article is scandalous! ''sacked because he is black'' Never heard anything so ridiculous!
If you are on a massive wage, lazy, unmotivated, unreliable, and generally very poor at your job, there must be a good chance of you being sacked. This is all very wrong. He has had the system over and laughing all the way to the bank.
Club Statement, earlier today...http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/article/club-statement-mccammon-money-305717.aspx
Many people were complaining on twitter about the club statement. Can't quite see what their problem is with it.
Its all wrong, hes had us over but i think i would settle for the outcome. It would all be forgotten in 3 months and we might be left alone.Bite the bullet and get on with it.What a horrible, money grabbing, useless waste of space this man is.
Not a racist statement........the person was absolutely bloody useless as a player. He had no desire, no input and brought nothing to GFC. He should not only hang his head in shame for purporting to be a professional footballer, but also for stooping to play the racial card when all else has failed for him. I seriously hope that the club does robustly defend their position rather than roll over and die, as there is too much at stake here. We are now living in a society that actively promotes the existence of the 'Black Police Officers Association'....yet God help you if you tried to form a 'White Police Officers Association'....(it has been tried). Don't get me wrong.....I am against racism in any form....but this decision, I believe, is a triumph for 'positive discrimination' and has been awarded on less than irrebuttable proof.
