The Sox fans want their club back again.

If they were more like the stripey Nigels they would have a slight chance of staying up. But no ive never seen a set of fans react so badly to a relegation fight.

Theyve got too big for their boots.

I really wish we had them in the FA Cup
    Wed hammer them.

If they've got £100M and change I'm sure the yanks will be happy to sell up.

Or they could follow HJ's lead, let them go bust and buy them back on the cheap. Just for the love of the club of course.

Or they could do a Wimbledon and re-form. I can just see Uplands Hotspurs or Cwmdonkin Park Rangers in the national leagues.

Second edition book coming out. From a Jack to a King......

    ......to a Joker.

To be fair they've had a good run, and getting out of the hole they're in isn't beyond them.

f they went under a third time, they'd get crucified. No HMRC let-off so it'd be liquidation, points losses, and the full hog. I seem to remember the last time they did this, there were no points losses ....it was just the usual kick the creditors in the cods and carry on.

I really think it is beyond them. They have a terrible lack of quality up front. You can't sell your best players and replace them with worse ones and stay in the PL.
The bar for survival gets higher every season and they've been getting weaker. They sold the only 2 players that kept them up last season.
They're the worst side in the league and they'll finish bottom. If they panic buy a load of **** in January they'll struggle next season as well.
Best thing they could do now imo is build for a proper attack on the Championship by signing players who are ready and willing to fight in that division rather than wasting cash gambling that some miracle player will replace the world class one they've sold.

Nice to hear from you Stevo. <ok>

Spending big in January is all very well but where's the money going to come from? With the club's debt to Barclays secured by projected future income I can't see them letting out any more rope - they'll be more inclined to want some back to reduce their risk exposure.

With the club in such a precarious table position, that projected future income which was undoubtedly based upon the assumption they would stay in the Premier League could be wildly optimistic. Banks are averse to risk and get cold feet very quickly.

It may be down to the Yanks to provide funds personally unless they can offload someone. Looking at what they've got to sell, I doubt that's feasible. Either the Yanks come in with some fresh personal cash or they'll sink - maybe even too late to avoid that anyway. If they do go down I fear it may well be 3rd time unlucky for them.

The Sox should prepare for Swexit right now.

They look all over a double relegation outfit.

Promted me to go have a look. Not surprised, but who fancies the poisened chalace?
    Troubled times our west.
The bit I don' get is their supporters saying we want our club back. Do they think the yanks will just up sticks and go ' ok boys you're right. Here's our shares, over to you'.
They'll do worse if another ' venkeys' step in. Or similar to brum with Chinese.
Is said on their board, 'be careful what you wish for'.

Just like when it was said Tan should walk. Was there a queue of punters with £150 million to spare? I don't think so.

Same problem down West. The Yanks need someone with deep pockets to buy them out.

The group of players you have there is just not good enough to stay up. Sacking the manager and hiring another is not going to save you this time. As an outsider looking in there seem to be some deeper problems within the club. Your only hope would seem to be if Bournemouth/Stoke/Newcastle/ WBA all implode.

Edit - add Brighton to that list as well

A few years back there would be a number of quality managers would be happy to take the swans job. 4 points adrift with the crown jewels sold the opinion will be quite different.
If they're looking to consolidate, reduce the wage bill and steady the ship, Slade might be free.

Would pay good money to see that <ok> Might have already done that mind <laugh> Going to need some serious money and a good manager to get the Swans out of this mess mind.
