It's a joke Dai. You've called me way worse in the past so get over yourself.

As for the expansion, I know 100% that there is currently a planning application being processed. How does that affect your "expansion is impossible" theory?

I suppose you'll just ignore that snippet of genuine information much like you ignore everything else that makes sense.

I would suggest upgrading the training ground before increasing stadium capacity.

The training ground is being built now, expansion is only going to be done if it doesn't impact on anything else

you do not know 100% nothing. all you know is that we would like to expand and thats as far as it goes, we cant expand what we dont own, i cant understand why you cant grasp that. maybe in a few years time we might be able to compensate the ospreys and everyone else for playing in a stadium that will be half to three quarters empty. but until everyone agrees then nothing can be done.....what if the rolls were reversed and the ospreys were getting full houses and we were getting what the get at the moment, would we be happy to play in a stadium that was looking empty...i dont think so....The atmospherewould be terrible.....

I know 100% there are currently plans going through the motions which are the preliminary paperwork needed to get any building work done. If you refute this you're calling me a liar which I don't appreciate. Face it Dai, you're wrong. How does it feel? I'm not saying it's 100% going ahead, but it IS possible, and IS being worked on.

As for "I can't understand why you don't understand this" - well, it's because you're wrong. We can and are looking to expand the stadium. I suppose even when there's another tier on the top of the stadium you'll still be wandering around going "Well the council did it didn't they? We weren't allowed FACT."

Well the information I have to hand falls into line with what Scott and Lone have been stating on here, matter of fact my next door neighbour is on the Council committee dealing with this issue, so I'll leave it at that! Sorry Dai but while we are a Tennant of sorts, we are actually also part management of the Stadium, and as such do have an influence and say over maintenance, running and improvement development!........... <ok>

To those saying it's unlikely we'll expand the stadium I say look at it from the Council's perspective.

The stadium as a whole isn't generating any income for the council.
There are 3 ways to solve this.
    1) reduce costs - e.g. Kick the Ospreys out so you don't have the associated cost. Politically difficult, not that much of a return anyway.
    2) increase activity - ie. arrange more concerts, conferences and such. This is a full time job for a team of people. It is unlikely that the council either have the staff or want to employ the staff to gamble on this.
    3) allow the one partner who is turning a profit to expand the stadium and thus increase the size of the gate that the council are taking a cut from. All investment from Swansea City F.C., council take no risk.

They are going to choose option 3.
(I would suggest that it is possible to also do something on 2 as well and a bigger stadium would increase the possible revenue streams from big rock concerts in the summer....but seriously doubt the Council's ability to come to the right arrangement with a private enterprise or manage the process themselves)

the stadium was not built for the swans,it was built for the swansea community as a whole. we and the ospreys pay rent to use the stadium and scott is talking bollox, we can all talk about expanding and thats all we can do , there is no paper work going through that anyone at the liberty knows about so its bollox as i have asked some prominent people and they have never heard such rubbish. yes we would like to expand but nothing has been put forward and the reason is there are others who use the stadium that has an interest in anything to do with the stadium...we pay rent we do not own FACT......who the hell are we to dictate what happens to the stadium...its total bollox..<ok>

So the club is lying then, the council who own the stadium is lying as well, in fact nobody is telling the truth except me as I only deal in facts. Is that right Superswan.

With better training facilities can have a better academy, a very useful thing these days

Musty what FIFA want's is irrelevant, we need a dedicated training facility, that has all the equipment etc that a premier league side needs. The players train in a public gym at the moment, and share with the ospreys pitch wise. The pitches they use are next to a main road so also open to the public.

We are in the best league in the world, we have now a world class player turned manager in charge, we desperately need this to be completed as soon as possible! Though I will miss seeing the swans players in the glamorgan health club ;)

We definitely need to crack on with this training centre/academy before expanding the stadium but it would be good to try and get all going at the same time if it's true that we are losing out on all of those millions of pounds in ticket sales. As Valley says, I'll miss seeing them training at Llandarcy and seeing all the flash cars parked there.
