Dramatic changes to personnel and style of play needed for next season imo.
That won’t happen I’m afraid and isn’t even in the strategy.

It will be consolidation, 3-4 new players coming in and a KPI to achieve mid-table or lower upper half.

Style of play will remain largely unaltered, as we don’t have the funds for a complete strip-down and rebuild.

If we achieve all of that next season it will be seen as, and indeed it will be, further progress under NJ.

I would hope that the 3 or 4 players would have enough quality to give us more options on our style of play. Quality over quantity please.

I agree entirely. I just don’t think we’ll have the budget to have an overhaul of our style of play as that would require too many comings and goings of players. Steady progress is fine by me and the only realistic way of doing things unless we get new mega rich owners who want to spend even more of their money on us, than our current ones do.

And I’m not hankering after that to happen as I think our current owners are doing a good job.

I'd like to see Fullah getting a start or three in Carey's role. Carey's form has dropped off recently and I don't see any risk in giving Fullah the chance to prove he can play at this level. He's certainly looked up to it when he's come on as sub.

100% agree. Carey has been pretty awful for a while now. Take away his early season goals and he offers very little.

I’d also like to see Fevrier given a start. We know enough about Clarke now and we either want him next season or we don’t. Let’s see what Fev is made of. He looks a handful at times and also has a better end product than TC, Clarke or Chambers.

Fevrier Is a no for me next season. He’s provided an option for balance this season but surely we are setting our sights higher?

Possibly, but I’d like to see him play at least one full 90 minutes before I decide.

Ahadme, Tanto, Apter and Kelman- 4 attacking players signed last summer by NJ who have contributed little but between them have cost a fair bit depending on which figure you believe. Godden is the only success. I imagine the owners will want some assurance that their money will be better spent before committing it.

I’d take Kelman out of that group. We always look better when he plays, but his season has been badly impacted by injury and then NJ severely restricting his game time.

Godden has contributed very little, but that of course is also down to his injuries. With his age that is always likely to be an issue now.

Kelman hasn’t particularly been affective but I blame jones and his system for that

My mistake, Godden and Ahadme were signed the previous summer. Dykes has also been a success, although I'd say that is conditional on us staying up.

Are the team jetting off to play some games abroad this Summer?

I don't expect any signings yet, but at least a decent rumour or two would be good.

I've got my factotum checking all CAFC-related media on an hourly basis.

In a timely fashion, I expect all gossip and fact to be on my desk and ready for submission to this and the pre-season threads.

I'd keep Godden and LEABURN but not Dykes. Kelman needs to play more. What a pity Mbick got crocked, he was flying. We'll see in the preseason how Kanu has progressed.
