Former Wales and British & Irish Lions international Lewis Jones has died at the age of 92 after a brief illness.
Born in Gorseinon in 1931, Jones played club rugby for Neath before winning his first Wales cap against England as a teenager in 1950
The dual-code star won 10 caps for his country and three for the Lions in rugby union, before switching codes and joining Leeds. Only Kevin Sinfield has scored more points for the club, than Lewis Jones and he also represented Great Britain 15 times. RIP Lewis <rose>
That’s sad news - I understand that he was one helluva player.

RIP <rose>

A Swans’ season ticket holder for Donkey’s Years, a Man City fanatic from the days when they were really sh*te, a well known former Neath League ref and South Wales Cricket Association Umpire (despite the fact he was half blind <whistle> ), a gentleman and a thoroughly decent human being - Hugh Rees passed 1 March 2024.

Rest in Peace old friend <rose>
