Actor David Warner, who starred in films such as The Omen and Tron, has died at the age of 80 from a cancer-related illness.
Warner played Bob Cratchit in George C Scott's 1984 adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, noting it was a pleasure to play a character that wasn't a villain for a change.

He mostly played villains, which can be typecasting. On the other hand, the villain often got the better role.
He was a damn good villain. Appeared as one in ' Titanic ' and ' The 39 Steps ', if my memory holds good. RIP.

Everybody loved and admired him.
Quite irreplaceable.

He was never Knighted, only receiving an OBE.
I'm anti gongs in general, but when you consider the trashy individuals who HAVE been Knighted, he should have had one. Two, in fact. Scandalous.
