“Everyone at MINI is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Paddy Hopkirk MBE. Paddy was profoundly connected to the fabric and DNA of our company, following his iconic win at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964. His triumph in the classic Morris Mini Cooper S Mk1 made this small car world-famous. His passion for MINI was unwavering and he remained a close friend and ambassador of our brand throughout his life. We will all miss him dearly and our thoughts are with the Hopkirk family during this difficult time.” Paddy was 89 RIP
Actor David Warner, who starred in films such as The Omen and Tron, has died at the age of 80 from a cancer-related illness. Warner played Bob Cratchit in George C Scott's 1984 adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, noting it was a pleasure to play a character that wasn't a villain for a change. RIP
He mostly played villains, which can be typecasting. On the other hand, the villain often got the better role. He was a damn good villain. Appeared as one in ' Titanic ' and ' The 39 Steps ', if my memory holds good. RIP.

Watched him a few weeks back in "Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country", playing a "goodie" Klingon, of all things! RIP
The Mirror: Bernard Cribbins dead: Doctor Who star and Wombles narrator dies at the age of 93. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-doctor-who-star-wombles-27597017 RIP Bernard
A constant throughout my childhood, a great entertainer. After years of singing about digging a hole in the ground Bernard has quietly left us leaving a big hole. RIP Bernard
One of those people we thought would be around forever. Fantastic actor, comedian, and pop singer. Everybody loved and admired him. Quite irreplaceable. RIP. PS. He was never Knighted, only receiving an OBE. I'm anti gongs in general, but when you consider the trashy individuals who HAVE been Knighted, he should have had one. Two, in fact. Scandalous.
