this all doesnt bode well does it? a striker who just about runs around a bit, and who doesnt want to be here. and starting the season with gunter at left back.

we're actually 4th favourites to get promoted. if the bookies looked into our squad, i'd be surprised if there wasnt lots more teams favoured instead of us.

It seems that way. I remember what TS and NA were saying at the end of last season, so I was expecting lots of early business done. Must be mistaken.

We have a few decent players but our squad is thin on numbers, with dodgy injury records.

Looks like we will start the season with a lot of our u23s, filling gaps with loans in a months time.

Hopefully Davison can get amongst the goals, and Albie can play a starring role a bit further up the pitch.

By the way, I will be keeping an eye on the injury records of our players this coming season, with a dedicated table charting them - as well as the other usual tables that I update after each league game.

I was somehow shocked at the number of league games Inniss and Famewo started together last season. 7, according to @CafcFactsStats tweet

I think this is a very strange window, as others have said , players and agents are waiting for mega bucks and clubs are playing the waiting game to get players as cheap as they can , then add in the poker face game to keep targets hidden from the opposition gazumping us . I’m happy to be patient and trust in TS and the gang :emoticon-0148-yes:

If that was true, surely it would cause huge tensions in the dressing room.
Anything's possible I suppose.

It's definitely going to be worth keeping an eye on them this season.

Isn't there a salary cap in the National League?

This is a simple question, and there should be a simple, easily accessible answer.
But I find that whenever I try to get an answer to questions like this by looking online, it is practically impossible to find one.
I get diverted to hundreds of other subjects or unhelpful sites.

Yet questions like this, when they go unanswered, cause much disagreement among fans and breed false rumours.

Not like the football league version, which, despite its criticisms, is quite thorough.

I can't see him being on that much but who knows? They must be outpaying league 1 teams and have sold to him their ambition for the next few seasons.

One of my rare away days was that FA Cup game where they beat us 4-0

Great atmosphere (in our end) :1980_boogie_down:
Glad to hear we did OK today...

quite a bit of inhouse arguing going on with our support. large chunk of people who feel we should be thankful we have a club. quite a few who still feel we are short of players.

i think they're questions/answers to different questions/answers and not the same argument.

we were promised that we'd blow the league away. we're so far from that; so i'm a tad underwhelmed. But i'm also grateful for still having a club.

I feel if we spent £2-£3m like we did the jenkinson year, we'd be top by a long way. at present, we have no squad depth.
