Doesn’t really work like that though does it? It’ll be a case of Pool not being as efficient that will help breach that gap due to other teams taking more points off them across the season. If it was the SPL, Germany, France or Spain...you’d have a point but the PL isn’t really that weak. Look at Chelsea, theyve defo breached that gap on paper during pre season with their purchases.

Yeah Tobes never mentioned that, it wouldnt be fair to the 16 teams below them if Everton got top 4.
Tobes wants everyone to share top 4 equally. All 20 clubs should finish 4th next season!

No, you said we’d NEVER challenge for top 4 and I questioned your post. You never offered any actual bet, and I never refused one.

That’s called the truth, you ought to try it occasionally and overcome your seemingly inherent need to lie.

His PPG average since he arrived extrapolated over a season would have seen us 5 points off 6th. With a squad that had literally no midfield. We won’t be in the mix for top 4 this season imo, but I’d fancy us to challenge for top 6, assuming the mooted signings come off.

The aim of the owner has been stated as us to be genuine challengers for CL places and pots by the time we move into our new ground. We’ll see how that pans out.

With Chelsea and United, it all depends on whether their signings work out, but even then, I cannot see who will take their place! Leicester? Sheffield United? Nah!

I expect us to be chipping away at the big boys, for sure... but the strengthening by both United and Chelsea will, in my opinion, close the gap towards 'Pool and City.

Only the ‘buttons’ aren’t mine you thick twat, and therefore can’t be offered up in a bet.
