Without him leaving you don’t get Van Dijk and Alisson and you don’t win the league. You should be thankful he ****ed off.
He was vastly overrated and whilst talented & a potential match winner, in the majority of games he was fairly anonymous. Then he’d bang one in from 25 yards and be lauded as Wuuuurrrlld class again.
Oh and @FosseFilberto he’s been hawked around all over the shop by his agent, including us.

He’s a good footballer, but I’m not convinced he’s a top notch defender.
The block he got in against Vardy that injured him was exceptional ... he'd no right to get there ... he's also deceptively strong in the air ... he could play as a defensive midfielder for sure mind.
Pairing him with Laporte or in a 3 with Laporte and Walker would be pretty good for me ...
don't fully get why he is so highly rated tbh . He is decent to good CB but that seems about it to me however he does seem to be rated better than that inside football from what we can see .
Mind you Pep hasn't got a great record with the defenders he signs at City so might not even be the best move for Ake .
Oh in hindsight of course I'm happy he went, but I still can still take a little satisfaction from the way its gone for him so far.
