Fergie beat you lot 8-2 with Nani, Cleverley, Anderson and Young in midfield bro. Fergie didn’t need stars, he beat teams before they got on the pitch. We once beat you with a team full of defenders as well remember Two RB’s, Two LB’s, 3 centre halves, a DM and two strikers. Half the defenders ended up getting ****ed off to the likes of Sunderland and QPR as well.
Yeah we've had some ****ing abominations at OT. We've also won the league there, so it ain't all bad. But yeah, the Fergie mind games were legendary. The **** would literally needle away about a week before the game trying to get in the head of the oppo. The Keegan meltdown is a classic Fergie mind ****
I had to laugh at the scousers with Werner, they were absolutely certain he was theirs, Klopp had contacted him personally and everyting. When he joined Chelsea and was asked why he had picked them his response was Frank Lampard
Don't confuse him with actual football details mate. You're right though, I just don't see which players are out there that they could reasonably bring in to fix up their defensive problems. Koulibaly maybe ? He'd cost them a **** ton of cash and is he really going to make the difference. That City back line needs a total ****ing overhaul imo
That's probably the only one. And they'll probably turn him to **** because the problems are bigger than just one CB. They need a rebuild imo, replacements for Silva, Fernandango and Aguero.
The back line isn't as drastic as it looks/performs. Get a good CB to go with LaPort and a decent LB, that allows Fernandino to get back as a DM which will cover the defence. It will make a massive difference to them.
No, mate. He's not for sale. You saying he's crock, if he goes on to have another blinding season, that's what will go in my siggy. Surprised you are willing to make the same old **** up, tbh.
Exaclty. Stones is ****. Otamendi has declined, it's only really Laporte who looks decent at the back there. City have had an incredible array of attacking talent over the last few years, but as you mention, those players are probably past their best now. Silva is off, Aguero is still a monster, but he's so injury prone these days. Pep would need another £500m to rebuild that squad, but I just don't see him being able to find the players of that sort of calibre, certainly not in one summer anyway.
Aguero isn't quite finished yet mate and even without him they score more goals than anyone else, they had nobody near the "golden boot" really but still scored 17 more goals than any other team in the league.
Lol! Coming from the bright spark who said that Kane was a one-season wonder! That's because you struggle to understand footy.
Possibly. But if any team has the financial clout to make a move, it's City. Especially since they know FFP is now a dead duck.
I don't think Aguero is finished but (as you've quoted Fergie and I'd imagine Pep is the same) you got to know when to think about replacing players. Agree about the goals, they have some good players who will always do the business in a poor league. Doesn't necessarily mean the squad's not on the decline though.
You didn't really answer though did you, yes you said they had the financial clout but never mentioned any merchandise (players).
They've got the money and they'll spend it. But who's out there? Koublakhan as Pixie mentioned but not much else? Not many stellar signings for City to throw the cash at like in days gone by imo.
