That type of soundbite is ridiculous. Corbyn is barely able to enact any form of realistic socialism given the constraints around him.

The problem is that people make excuses for people like Philip Green, who wants all the perks of living and working in the UK without paying the tax, and look at the way he ****ed over workers. There are people who will take his place if he leaves and actually goes to 'live' with his 'wife' in Monaco. The reality is he's been gaming the system for decades and he paid us back by shafting ordinary people en masse. It'll happen against soon too, with Topshop.
It doesn't even have to be close to socialism but the closer you get to it, the more the likes of Philip Green will simply move elsewhere. So instead of taxing them at 45%, you get 0%.

Everyone should probably pay a bit more for the vital stuff, but asking only the richest 1% to pay it all won't work IMO, especially when you throw in the stupid stuff like nationalisation and 4 day weeks :emoticon-0114-dull:

Mate, I will bet everything I own that Philip Green doesn't pay 45% tax :D

If top earners aren't paying 45% tax then the problem is tax avoidance not increasing tax rates.

I'd settle for closing loopholes too, but the Tories arent doing it and theyve been exploited for years. Again, I just don't see how we got into a position where anyone is arguing for billionaires to pay less tax so they don't leave. Our country is being held to ransom by them.

I cannot understand why the big tax dodging companies, Amazon, Apple, Facebook etc are not charged on a % of their turnover...since they evade any taxes on profits?

After the recent news events of yesterday I might bite the bullet and completely change my mind, as I think I have but two real choices.
Brexit vote: we voted in 2016

I think it is because they have ‘arranged’ to pay their EU tax through Luxembourg / Ireland at a reduced rate

I can also completely believe that btw. I know from experience that 5 day weeks for my staff are often a case of getting 50% out of them some days. I have considered whether a 4 day week would be a good idea, because we'd get more from them in the other days.

From watching David Attenborough tonight I think the Green Party. Again though, there would be riots if their policies were implemented......people changing their lifestyle? no more holidays abroad? no more fireworks? stop importing cheap plastics for the pound shop? etc. lol
Actually, the more I watch tonight’s episode, the more I think I’d vote for the Daleks and their exterminate solution.....lol. It’s the only way the rest of life on this planet may be able to survive:emoticon-0108-speec

I think I'm with you on this. The Greens that is, not the Daleks. Not voting for that Davros fella, too spooky for me. Not as spooky as Corbyn like but I wouldn't vote for him either.

I think to stop Bonko (and I am a leave voter) I will hold my nose and vote labour..

Mind Durham city is a safe labour seat..so my single vote does not count as much...

If you live in a marginal... it may need thinking about

I am honestly quite worried about Labour ATM. Corbyn has in the past, been associated with a lot of terrorist organizations. Mr McDonnell really pulls the strings and has communist sympathies.
Add in Momentum, whom I feel are subversive far left anarchists and the question really then is where does that leave HM Forces if Corbyn were to be handed the keys to no10? ( or the Queen for that matter, don’t think she is on his Christmas card list.) what could possibly go wrong.

Did think that it might just work out...........but then I forgot about Diane Abbot...........

I think people may start to listen when an ex labour minister says that Corbyn is dangerous though, :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I think you have to remember that Corbyn is still going to be governed by parliament. He can't go too far with anything because even with a majority government, he would have enough dissent if he tried to gut the armed forces, or enact extreme measures at any point.

I think he'd have very little success if his true aim was socialism, because there simply aren't many socialists in the Labour party to back him on it.

In nine years state one aspect of society that has changed for the better as a result of a Tory policy?

17000 deaths from a Tory policy

thumbs up apparently you appear to wish for many more. All of the above is daily mail bingo, full house.

vote Tory
And the worrying thing is its getting worse and when the NHS is gone, people will realise what it was.

We are incredibly close to being a nation where your wallet decides what health care you get.

And for all those who mention every other country that doesn't have free health care, that doesn't make it that they are right and we aren't.

Was there zero deaths under labour?
I see. Ignore the reality to ask a question. Direct Tory policy has caused those deaths. An ideology driven by spite.

do you really want to compare the death records?

ILL ASK THIS IN CAPITALS

AFTER NINE YEARS OF TORY DOCTRINE, LIST ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS IN SOCIETY THAT HAS LEAD TO SOMEONE DECIDING THEY ARE WORTHY OF VOTING FOR.

I AWAIT THE WHATABOUREY. BUT LETS HAVE THE TORIES LIST THE REASONS WHY WITHOUT RESORTING TO THE WHATABOUTERY BINGO

I AWAIT WHY BLAH BLAH BLAH VOTE LABOUR.

CLASSIC TORY WIBBLERS
