The Evening Standard are reporting that Arsenal are expecting Vardy to turn them down and stay at Leicester.

Had a feeling this would be the case, played Arsenal and Leicester off against each other and he stays put with an improved contract, in fact I don't think he had any intentions of leaving Leicester.
Totally agree. He's just used Arsenal as a pawn for a better deal and why not? If they offered him 120k a week, Lester were certain to offer him at least 90/100k and he's now shedloads better off a month for doing the same job at the same place whilst retaining fan hero-worship.

That's why I think those believing we should sign a fair number of players who are already settled into the league are being a bit naive. Especially since the comment probably comes with the caveat of not wanting to spend a lot of money on said players. The fact is, it looks like we're going have to spend quite a bit domestically to get anything of quality. For that reason alone, I think who we bring in on loan will be extremely important.

Swansea interested in re-signing Joe Allen. He'd be a great signing, I think his game has greatly improved at Liverpool despite not getting much of a look in.
