But will we or will we be at the last minute desperately offering him a new deal and/or scrambling round looking for a replacement just before he's about to leave? We need Abel at the moment to increase our chances of staying in the division which is worth zillions. Selling him now for 20 million because we'll receive nothing if we sell him at the end of the season doesn't make economic sense to me if it costs us a place in the Premier League. Anyway, keeping him now it will give us time to either negotiate a new contract with him or find a replacement. To sell him now just before the deadline would be very bad news I think.
We'd have the club jumping around congratulating themselves on what good business .... and then get relegated .... Shane Long anybody?Well if we have, we keep him and if he has a good season sell him for 30mill at the beginning of next season

Would be alright if we could snare Jack Wilshire on loan and buy Ravel Morrison
I actually cant think of a worse player to sign at the moment than Morrison. He's absolutely ****ing toxic and would singlehandedly destroy the fantastic team spirit we have engendered..
If only we could get the player and not the arsehole that comes with it.I actually cant think of a worse player to sign at the moment than Morrison. He's absolutely ****ing toxic and would singlehandedly destroy the fantastic team spirit we have engendered..
If they are willing to pay £20m in transfer fees then they should be expected to pay a lot in wages.Apparently Abel's agent asked for a bucket load and ****ed the deal.
I think it was more the agents fee rather than his wage.If they are willing to pay £20m in transfer fees then they should be expected to pay a lot in wages.
Lots of fans and pundits are quick to hail Ravel Morrison as a real talent, but has there anything consistent on the pitch to back this up? Either way, think majority are in agreement that his attitude would be counter productive no matter how good he may be!

He's had enough people, Alex Ferguson and Not Fat Sam included, saying that he could be world class, but everywhere he has gone it's taken but a matter of weeks for the clubs to discard him because of his appalling behaviour. Add to that an attitude towards a significant proportion of our society that makes Andre Gray look positively enlightened and several charges against him for domestic violence renders him a massive risk.
I would suggest that he has one more chance to make it.
Could we redeem him?
