The City admin team sent a 'Deal Sheet' into the FA before the deadline to say that the deal was agreed and would go ahead, this allowed a few hours grace for Hatem to get to Cottingham to complete the deal. I believe the deal was one of the last to be ratified on that transfer deadline night.

Yes but how reliable are they? Remenber Diomande's medical in Norway which said he'd be out for 2 weeks when in reality he was out for 2 months!
So far he's scored the same amount as Abel H. He more than likely will become an excellent player, but at the moment he's not proved anything more than being a Championship player.

The only thing it can be is Money rather than a footballing reason.
Sky Sports have just said that Joe Hart is leaving the England Training camp tomorrow to fly to Turin to sort out his loan move to Torino!
So Dr T Xia is going to have to fly out to Uruguay to sign Abel if he wants him, as Abel won't be flying back to UK until next week!
Birmingham is slightly nearer to Italy than Hull is.

I hope he flies all the way out to Uruguay and Abel just says to him "nah you're alright" there's something very strange with him. Bit of a mentalist.
