From what I've seen looks to be around £6m

If we can get Henriksen for 6 mill, or anywhere close to that IMO, it will be a fantastic signing. He has all the qualities we need in an attacking CMF, speed, great balance on the ball, and can score with either foot and in the air. Just hope Ehab and the medical staff dont mess this one up.

You can have two from the premier league and as many as you would like from abroad.

These might be left to the last minute, especially with other clubs waiting to see if they could sign anyone. Theres no emergency loan window in the football league any more, its going to pandamonium the start of this week.

If Henriksen is a Diame/Koren type player as people have said, where do people see him playing in our system? I doubt we'd replace 1 of the 3 hard working midfielders for a more attacking option, so the only real alternative I can think of is in place of Diomande on the left. Unless of course Phelan has another system in mind and is building a team accordingly

If the medical staff mess it up surely it will be for a good reason

Could do 4231 with Clucas and Huddz the 2 providing the base in midfield and Henriksen, alongside Dio/Snodgrass. AZ play same formation anyway and the 3 are all hard-working types who get up and down.

The team Phelan has put out so far this season has been decided for him due to injuries and lack of new players. There's no reason why he'd keep meyler in midfield and thudd in an attacking role if he's got better options. If he manages to sign the likes of Mason and Henriksen I think he'll put them straight in the starting 11.

It will be interesting to see how we line up against Burnley after a hopefully successful end to the transfer window.

Tough choices, for me:
Jak/Marshall (can't decide)
Elmo, Maguire, Davies, rob bo
Mason, livermore
snodders, Henriksen, duo
hernandez

Obviously Dawson comes straight back in when fit.

Solid defence with fullbacks who give width. Hard working CM who can press and attack.

Drop Meyler. His passing is woeful sometimes and we can't afford for him to give the ball away in daft positions like he did against Leicester which led to their penalty. He's an alright player but an attacking player like Henriksen would be above him in the pecking order for me. We could keep playing 4-3-3 with Clucas being that defensive midfielder and Huddlestone and Henriksen going forward.

Harsh on Clucas based on this seasons performance upto now, i agree about Dawson but lets hope Harry doesnt or he may try to force the boro move

They'll have your balls for that one sir.

I agree though.

I think it was against Leicester, though it might have been against Swansea. We were on the counter-attack and Meyler could have played a through ball to Hernandez who would have been clean through on goal, one-on-one with the keeper. Instead he took a shot from 25 yards out which sailed way over the crossbar. He's a decent player but his decision-making can be terrible at times.

Absolutely as it makes no sense does it. We need to fit in an AM so we drop a DM. But we hate Meyler so ...

If this Henriksen is any good then the person at risk is Hudd.

But we cant say that.

Except we can and it's been said on this board to death. If you think Huddlestone doesn't get his fair share of criticism on this board you need to take your Meyler-tinted glasses off.

We don't need to fit anyone in but dropping Meyler to accommodate another attacking midfielder makes perfect sense if we want to be more attacking, considering Clucas is already playing in that holding midfield role and is doing pretty well there.

Love it. Cant wait to see it.
I expect I'll be waiting a pretty long time mind.
