Problem is Steve R, we're not playing in the Championship or Division 1.. lets be honest with what we have, whoever they are, we will be 11 behind the ball every game. Mo is a luxury a brilliant luxury at times and defending isn't what he pulls on a shirt for. As for being out of the spotlight... Newcastle wont be out of the spotlight..

As Ive said GLP.... whats the precedent for having g to approach the FA and saying we do not have 11 fit players. !! I mentioned on here and someone phoned Blunderside about bringing the Premiership into disrepute, every day that seems more feasible to me, legitimate or not.

If they were willing to pay 100mil in the Prem, I bet they were willing to pay 70mil in the Championship, considering they weren't bothered about the league.

The offer was a fair bit less than £100m and nobody has details of the basis on which payments were to be made other than those involved (and Tony).

As a Championship club we were worth £30-40m tops and had we not been promoted, I don't believe for a second we'd have been sold.

We do have 11 fit players, we have a whole development squad and then a youth team. It's of no concern to the Premier League how good those players actually are.
 
It's no doubt been asked before but how many of our players have a buy out clause - I recall the Allams had most of our squad on them when we reduced their wages when we got relegated.

I thought they were put in place when we got relegated from the PL to the Championship as a part of accepting reduced wages. Therefore on promotion and PL wages I would have expected any such clauses to have been revoked.

**** knows what is going on with our club at present.
 
4.5 million buy out seems low in these current markets. We seem to have history (long excepted) of letting our players go on the cheap....I can remember this going back to Marwood to Sheff Wed..
