Again, it's because it's a new face and people really want a signing that people are looking at Odemwingie and desperately trying to make the best of it.

It could be that he's just here for fitness reasons, I wouldn't have thought he's seriously here because we are taking a look at him.

I seriously hope he isn't he 'exciting opportunity' SB mentioned at Ferriby.

He wouldn't be playing for us against Mansfield if we weren't looking at signing him.

Thanks. Was this reportedly said before the takeover talks stalled and our injuries to McGregor, Bruce and Odjubajo? If so, I think that the situation may well have changed markedly.

The amount was based on what would happen if they didn't sell, so it's obviously not affected by the takeover, though injuries might force their hand.

I thought SB wanted certain guarantees before he committed his future to the club.
I can only imagine that (after being refused LeFondre) his demands were that he is allowed to buy some players.
I cant imagine that he will be happy with only being allowed to take frees and other chumpionship rejects.

Nothing news wise coming out of the club at all, agree regards SB, stated he wanted guarantees by him choosing to stay you would think he got them, he,s got 14 outfield players and the treatment room is filling up at an alarming rate, lets hope SB can produce a rabbit or two out of the hat.

The ball is in Bruce's court now, there's no way £18million is re-assuring and makes us competitive even before the injurys. So the takeovers collapsed, what ya going to do Steve?

You can say whatever you like about Odemwingie. But his goal scoring record is far better than anybody else we have been linked with.

It sounds like because Bruce wants one more crack in the top flight, he's willing to accept the Allams ****E transfer budget.. so he's getting the best he can for the money he has available..

its sad but Odemwingie, Robson-Kanu, a few cheap players and a few loan deals is probably what we're looking at in this window.

I keep reading about this £18 (or £20) million transfer budget. Where did this information come from and when?
Waggy will you stop bringing up silly questions like this. No one cares who said it, it is a fact and thats a FACT! It has now been cast in stone.

No one knew about the second strip, no one knows about the first strip and yet someone found out our transfer budget.

It has just become another stick to beat the drum with. Lets get real who reveals a clubs true transfer funds and for what purpose? SB certainly is not going to reveal the true figure is he?

I can't see the logic of releasing somebody like Aluko then giving a trial to a 35 year old on the downgrade to be honest

I guess hindsight is 20/20.
if SB would have known that we would get injuries, he wouldnt have released Sone.
it wasnt like he had to bring the wage bill down..
he never learned from the mistakes of our last outing in the PL, where we were crippled from injuries.
