Now we've got the contract situation tied up id like to see us do what Stoke have done the past few seasons. Have one big marquee signing every window. Bojan, Shaqiri, Imbula etc..

As it stands, we've got a full squad pretty much (minus a few strikers ) that can compete around the bottom end of the table. In football sometimes having that 1 special player lifts the whole team, makes others play better, wins you games on their own. Id like to see us do that, bit by bit improving the first 11.

A striker or attacking midfielder would be ideal. A good 15-20m of the budget but it would improve us more than say several average signings..

In today's market we'd have to pay a lot more than £5million to get a player with toms ability. The problem I believe is Bruce carnt give him a role were we get the best out of him, he's no good IMO just in front of the back 4 as he doesn't hurt the opposition with his passing. I'd buy someone like Charlie Adam who'll do the donkey work and allow Tom to be a bit more creative slightly further up the pitch. Him and Jake don't work they always seem to be 10 yards from the opposition midfield, and at the same time toms form has dropped through the floor. He really should have been one of the best players in the championship last season not struggling to get in our team

Im pretty sure I saw his first team debut for Derby as a 16 year old, playing at centre back. I couldn't believe the size of him for his age.

Why do that? You want effective passing from all areas of the team. Leave Huddlestone where he is most effective breaking up play and passing the ball to a team mate.

What we need to find is a midfielder that can do what Huddlestone can do, but also has the legs to carry the ball and play attacking passes.
