One sat near me on Saturday and he was drawing players positions and movements on sheets of A4 but he spent most of his time sketching out the penalty area 6 yard box etc on countless bits of paper.
He would have been better watching on the box at home .
More likely a match scout then a player scout. Determining player movement, how to counter it, how team sets up for defence, set pieces ect. You dont get that of the tele, on a corner for example you get 6 yd box on tv, but not how they set further out to break away
If this comes off and it's actually a player worth signing (which is doubtful) kudos to the club for keeping it under wraps.
Demba Ba would cost us at least a leg.
Gyan has already been linked and (apparently) failed a medical at Reading recently.
I read that he'd failed a medical, but also that he had pulled out of the deal. It just sounds like he had a better offer.

There aren't that many players it could be- foreign striker who has played in the Premier League before- and certainly few who have been successful.
