I'd sign Powell to replace huddlestone

Has good vision and passing ability as has huddlestone where he tops huddlestone is his workrate in tackling , tracking back, making himself available for a pass which toms very poor at. He's also more of a goal threat than huddlestone

All Bruce has to do is convince Powell he ain't a centre forward or a number 10

When did Powell get so good?

I'd like us to bring fresh faces in this summer. Nothing to do with ex players not being good enough or whatever. I just think 'been there, done that' and for whatever reason it never worked out and we were relegated.

As a result I hope Bruce signs some fresh blood in much needed positions.

We're not going to 'sign the next Vardy' (or foreign equivalent) if we go back to players we've had before, that we know are good, but don't have the potential to set the premier league alight.

Powell looked very calm and assured and probably the most technically accomplished player on the pitch for hull city lots to work with

Can we sign Bradley? Dude has to be tired of playing for Toronto by now.

He'd cost a lot, isn't he on a massive wage at Toronto?

Yea I forgot about that part of it haha. The current exchange rate would mean he is on almost £87,000 a week. He cost Toronto £7 mill.

If we can't afford to spunk 20mill on a decent striker after we won 170mill on promotion well, i'll never know
P.S. It's good to see the back of Sone.

I read the other day he was heading to Swansea. I'm not sure he's exactly what we need. We have three goo centre halfs with Bruce for cover.

All the quotes in the HDM are from the Express & Star in Brum, but they don't mention us in the article, it's all about a potentional move to Swansea.

They're currently running a poll on there, asking if Chester's been given a fair chance at Albion, 77% think he hasn't.

Lads I found my old adidas predators from 10 years a go.

I'm a bit like Jan Molby in playing style and physique.

I'll sign a 2 year deal for 100 quid a week with an all-you-can-eat card for a chippy of my choice.

I'll be in the usual car park to sign and/or fight if needed for the next 2 hours.

We need player's on the pitch on match day, not in the treatment room, too much of a risk injury wise for me.

Reading FC: Oliver Norwood's agent has met Hull City chiefs to discuss a £1.5 million move to KC Stadium

NEWLY-promoted Hull City want Reading FC schemer Oliver Norwood to anchor their midfield in the Premier League next season.

Steve Bruce's Tigers beat Sheffield Wednesday in last weekend's Championship play-off final to seal a return to the top flight.

The Chronicle understands Bruce is now keen to lure Norwood to the KC Stadium in order to bolster his midfield for the 2016/17 campaign.

Sources say Norwood's representatives from Unique Sports Management have already held talks with Hull City chiefs over a possible move.

It is believed Hull would have to cough up at least £1.5 million to secure the services of Norwood, who is currently in France with the Northern Ireland squad for the start of Euro 2016.

The 25-year-old is highly rated by Tigers assistant manager Mike Phelan, who knows Norwood well having worked with him when he was a Manchester United trainee.

Reading are thought to be open to offers for Norwood, who has one year left on his contract at Madejski Stadium.

Norwood was eager to sign a new Royals deal a few months ago, saying: “I’ve got a year left in the summer and they know I want to be here.

“I’ve spoken to them and said that. I’m sure something will happen when they are ready.”

Norwood was made Reading captain by ex-boss Brian McDermott, though Paul McShane took over the armband towards the end of the season.

But with McDermott now gone and with Reading yet to name a replacement, Norwood may be open to move elsewhere.

“I’m enjoying being here, to be given the captaincy by the gaffer was a very proud moment,” he added.

“You don’t take much notice of that [transfer speculation] to be fair,” he said. “I’m a Reading player and I’m committed.

“I see it as a wonderful football club with wonderful people who run it. The history of the club as well, it’s a wonderful place to play my football and I’m just enjoying playing every week.”

But the midfield dynamo is certain to be tempted with a move to the Premier League with Hull City.

Reports elsewhere suggest Norwood's hometown club, Burnley, are also keen on signing him following their promotion to the Premier League.

Scottish giants Celtic – now managed by ex-Royals boss Brendan Rodgers – are also showing strong interest in the player.

Norwood's a good player. Wondering if he can be used as a defensive midfielder.

I don't believe we'll be looking at signing anyone atm when our owners and manager quite possibly will change in the next few weeks
