'Roo - didn't see your predictions entry at all.
Just so everyone knows, once a set of fixtures has been posted, as each prediction is posted I log them with a time stamp. This is a control for me to check that no-one changes their predictions after the first game of the round kicks off (edits are time-stamped by the system).
Also, as they come in I copy the predictions of the top 10 leaders in the STD table as an added control. Occasionally, posters miss the entry deadline, but if there are some games with k.o. after their late entry time-stamp those matches will be allowed to count. Normally, if I notice a regular competitor has not submitted and there's time for me to post a reminder or pm them I will do so. I obviously missed notifying you this last week - I was listening to the Bolton game on the net and watching both the Newcastle & Sunderland games on TV at the critical time, followed by watching the later PL matches on TV.
By the time that was over I was half-pissed and didn't check this thread 'til after the Sunday matches were over.
Apologies.

Not a worry mate. Something went wrong somewhere and I could have sent them amiss but my Sunderland Predictions went through at 11.42pm Thursday (Oz Time) and I post them together. They might well appear on another site but I am sure I checked.

I have opened up an insurmountable gap on the Sunderland site so much so that I have been advised that I should start next season with a handicap of -50:

You could still do the double mate - you're only 6 points behind with 2 rounds to go.
Use a bit of psychological warfare on OLM etc <laugh> like Fergy used to do !!

Tell me 'Roo - how the hell to you manage to get the formatting of the table above onto this post ? I've tried importing spreadsheet data onto here but I lose all the formatting & have to manually enter "spacers" for columns...a right pain in the arse, especially with my failing eyesight.
Any tips would be helpful.

Very simple mate (even an idiot first class like me can do it).
Simply right click on the page you want and use the 'save image' to save it to your pictures.
Use 'TinyPic' to upload your picture to and then copy the URL and paste it on the site you want to show it.
Good luck mate.

This is a test...it's a couple of rounds old, so except for TigerRoo, please ignore it.
Unless you wanna comment on the size of the characters for readability !

TigerRoo - does it look ok on whatever you view it on ?

Just looking at your Sunderland image there 'Roo. Looks like the rules give 3 points for a prediction of the exact score, and 2 points for getting the WLD correct. You're doing both competitions, which do you think is the better scoring system ? I may put it to the regulars as I think the "Sunderland" approach may make ours a little more competitive ? Any thoughts ?

Any others reading this post please chip in with your thoughts.

Yes, it's 3 points for a correct score and 2 points for a correct forecast. I feel the emphasis should be on the 'correct score' and should be rewarded accordingly. Most other Prediction Sites are 3 for a correct score and 1 for the correct forecast. Sunderland's is the only one awarding 2 points. A draw is the hardest to forecast (I try to avoid them like the plague) and I would award 2 points for correctly forecasting a draw but still 3 points for a correct score draw.
Some sites deduct a point for every 'incorrect' forecast whereas others offer a 'nap' selection which is where you select one of your predictions as your 'best bet' and should it be correct you get a 5 point bonus on top of your 3 points.

Perhaps there is some closet constipated mathematician (who could work it out with a pencil) who could come up with a more balanced scoring system but I guess it is what you are used to.

Well it looks like once again I am going to be in comfortable mid table mediocrity in this prediction league.

Aston Villa 0-1 Newcastle United
Sunderland 1-2 Chelsea
Leicester City 2-1 Everton
Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal
West Ham United 2-1 Manchester United
Hull City 2-1 Rotherham United
Derby County 1-2 Ipswich Town
Middlesbrough 1-2 Brighton and Hove Albion
Sheffield United 1-2 Scunthorpe United
Portsmouth 1-2 Northampton Town

Looking at this completely neutrally, surely the main prize is winning the City points predictions? I'd personally say winning that demonstrates that that individual clearly knows more about City than anyone else on this site and should be referred to as king for the following season.
