at least Norwich are now an established EPL team... capable of mid table finishes. That would maybe allow him to get noticed if he wants an England call up. Being involved in a relegation scrap wont do that.

I agree, Norwich have been in the EPL for a few seasons now, not a giant club but he could do far far worse.

I don't really give a **** where he goes.

It's only when EPL fans appear giving it "he's going to a bigger club" brainwashed Sky bollocks that it rubs my diddies.

Remember DiCanio went to "a bigger club" in Sheffield Wednesday. Since then, we've got to a European final, the last 16 of the Champions League 3 times and Wednesday have all but disappeared.

Ditto Viduka going to Leeds.

All in all, I don't care where he goes as long as we get as much as possible for him.

I agree... though, I like hooper so would rather see him go to a bigger club than Hull i.e Norwich. Pointless going to a relegation battle...

If our players go, I hope it is a big club and I hope they do well. The simple raisin is that it shows our model in a good light.

I'd prefer Hooper stayed. I'll miss his beautiful smile if he goes.

Yup - once someone leaves I couldn't care less where they go or how their career pans out ; when they are gone they are dead to me.... though I suppose I could allow myself a wry smile if one of them became just another hull suicide statistic.

And the list goes on. Others like Liam Greedy Miller must rue the day they left us for the league where the sun always shines.

Do you honestly think that players leave Celtic and regret it? Liam Miller probably trebled his wage and got to play for one of the worlds biggest, if not THE biggest club in the world and won medals and got to play under arguably the greatest manager of all time.

Football players are like everyone else, they want to earn as much money as possible. Unless they play for Queens Park.

But all things being relative, after he left Man Utd his career went down the ****ter so he probably, over the course of his playing career, earned less than he would if he'd stayed at Celtic.

A footballer normally has a very short career, 15 years typically to earn as much money as possible. He could've stayed at Celtic, suffered a horrific injury and be forced from playing altogether. I'm sure he'll look back at his career and think, "I'm a millionaire and played for Celtic and Man U and played next to guys like Larson, Giggs, Van Nistelrooy and played under the Greatest Manager of all"

I'm sure he's gutted.

I see little point in discussing "could haves". Truth is his career went down the ****ter after he left Celtic. My opinion is because he left Celtic too soon. I'm not blaming him, just making the point that chasing the pound and the glory at a young age isn't always the best option, as many a player has found to their cost down the years.

I'm sure given the choice, he would rather be sitting in his dotage looking at all the medals and trophies he won rather than thinking "I played half a dozen games under Alex Ferguson".

Yes, no point in discussing "could haves", but you're sure that he'll look back and think "look at all the trophies I could have won".

No, that would be a "would have won" if he'd stayed at Celtic :emoticon-0142-happy
