It will be wages. Given money coming into the club there is nothing to stop us spending £5-6m on a transfer fee, probably (although unlikely!) But even if we have a bid accepted, a player that costs £5-6m will be wanting a wage more than we would be prepared to pay. I've no idea what our top earner gets paid, but i'd be shocked if it were more than £25k a week. A £5m plus player could get double that in England, easily. This is the issue I also have a slight concern is the likes of Forster, Mathews, Ledley and Wilson may see us sell our better players to England for them to earn twice as much as they.....and they might think selling our better players lacks ambition, and the CL football that keeps them here on less money may not materialise without those we have sold. So not only have we lost Hooper and Wanyama, others may follow. This Ledley to Cardiff rumour concerns me
£3m Cardiff have bid APPARENTLY. If it's true it's an insult. Still, I do wonder what would happen if they went to £4m?
It is an insult as he is crucial to the team....but i think he might only have 1 season left on his present contract. I can see the board cashing in. Id rather him run down his contract than accept £10m for him. He will be key to our team this season IMO?
If we sell Ledley, then I'll be ****ing beelin'. Hooper I can stomach as it was the right time for him to go, Wanyama's fee was too good to turn down, but if we get rid of Super Joe then I will probably have a right good angry cry
And APPARENTLY Notts Forest have upped their bid for Kelvin Wilson. Don't know how I feel about that. Terrible first season, decent second season. But I can't see Forest offering more than £2m for him and he's got to be worth more than that. Anyway, with all these players coming in for peanuts (or less) and being touted at several millions Lawwell must feel like a kid that's been locked in the sweetie shop all night.

Thats the concern. £2m+ for Wilson or £3m+ for ledley may not seem a lot. But we signed them for nothing so that will seem a fortune to Lawell et al
